The business started small, concentrating primarily on South Africa, but has morphed into a concentration including all of Southern and East Africa. In honour of our very first and our recent visit to Nambiti Game Reserve, this one belongs to the (𝘎𝘪𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴). 🦒

Giraffes are the tallest land animals, with males reaching up to 18 feet! Their long necks, about 6 feet in length, help them reach high leaves. Interestingly, giraffes have the same number of neck vertebrae as humans—seven, each over 10 inches long. 😱

Giraffes play a crucial role in their ecosystems by aiding in seed dispersal and providing food for predators. Let's celebrate and protect these gentle giants! 🌍💚

Cape Gannet (𝘔𝘰𝘳𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘴)! 🐦✨

These magnificent seabirds are known for their striking black and white plumage and vibrant yellow heads during breeding season. 💛
Cape Gannets are expert divers, plunging from heights of up to 30 meters to catch fish with incredible precision. 😱
They form large, noisy colonies on islands and rocky coasts off South Africa and Namibia, with both parents sharing the duty of raising their chicks.🐣

Southern Bald Ibis (𝘎𝘦𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘷𝘶𝘴) 🦩, a fascinating bird native to South Africa, Lesotho, and Eswatini! 🌍

The Southern Bald Ibis gets its name from its distinctive bald, red head, which contrasts beautifully with its iridescent green-black plumage. 🦚
These birds prefer high-altitude grasslands and mountainous regions, where they forage for insects, small reptiles, and seeds. ⛰
Despite their striking appearance, Southern Bald Ibises are considered vulnerable due to habitat loss and human disturbances. 😔

Leatherback turtle (𝘋𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘺𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘢).🐢

In honour of World Turtle Day yesterday, it is a perfect occasion to celebrate the leatherback sea turtle! 🐢🌊

These ancient mariners are the largest of all sea turtles, reaching lengths of over 6 feet and weights up to 2,000 pounds. 🦛
Leatherbacks are unique because they lack a bony shell, instead boasting a tough, leathery carapace. 😎
Despite their resilience, leatherbacks are endangered due to habitat loss, pollution, and fishing nets. 😔

🌍🐾 Today is Endangered Species Day! Let’s raise awareness about the incredible creatures at risk of disappearing forever. From majestic tigers and gentle giants like elephants to the enigmatic pangolin, every species plays a vital role in our planet’s ecosystem.

Did you know? Pangolins, often called “scaly anteaters,” are the only mammals covered in scales! Sadly, they’re the world’s most trafficked mammal due to high demand for their scales and meat. All eight species of pangolins are now endangered.

Did you know these fascinating creatures hold the title for the world’s largest rodent? 🤔

Capybaras are highly social animals, often found in groups of 10-20 individuals.
They’re semi-aquatic, excellent swimmers, and can stay submerged for up to 5 minutes!
Despite their size, they’re herbivores, munching on grasses and aquatic plants. 🌱

Next time you spot one, admire their peaceful demeanor and impressive adaptations! 😎
