The Alaskan Disney Wonder Cruise leaves from Vancouver, Canada… 🇨🇦 and it gave us a bonus experience to our adventures.

Beautiful city with so much to explore before or after you sail.

We were able to enjoy:

✨Gastown and the famous steam clock
✨Grouse Mountain
✨Pacific Ocean Cruise Boardwalk

🚢Ship Tip: MDRs (Main Dining Rooms)

🍴Disney Cruise Line has a unique rotational dining offering. On the Disney Wonder, there are 3 main dining rooms. You’ll have the same table number each night and your servers will move through the restaurants with you. This means they’ll get to know your family, your likes and dislikes and become a fab part of your cruise experience!

The dining rooms @ Disney Wonder:

🧜‍♀️Triton’s: themed to The Little Mermaid
🎨Animators’ Palate: themed around animation
🐸Tiana’s place: Princess and Frog themed

The menus will change each night and there will be some themed menus too.

Two dining times when booking:
⌚️Main dining - starts at 5:45pm
⌚️Late dining - starts at 8:15pm

Your dining time is assigned when you book your cruise but if you’d like to change you can request that within your reservation online. If there is space available you should be changed instantly, if not speak to guest services who can put you on the waitlist!

🚢Ship Tip: Quick Service Dining!

You can find 3 main quick service options on board Disney Wonder and they are all located on the pool deck (deck 9).

🍔Pete's Boiler Bites. Burgers, hot dogs and tacos. This is also where you will find the famous shawarma!

🥪If you are looking for a healthier or lighter option, head to Daisy’s De-Lites. Here you can find a selection of wraps, salads and fresh fruit.

🍕At Pinocchio’s Pizzeria, I guess I don't have to tell you what you can get there…

Daisy’s and Pinocchio's usually open at 10.30 AM and close at 6 PM. But Pinocchio’s opens again at 9.30 until 11 PM. Pete's is usually open from 10.30 AM until 10 PM. Make sure to check the navigator app for the accurate hours.

For those with allergies or specific dietary requirements, don’t worry you can still enjoy the quick service venues. There is always a vegetarian option and/or a plant based one, too.

Also important to note is that you can find the beverage station on this deck (9 aft). Hot and cold drinks are available here 24 hours a day. Tea, Coffee, hot chocolate, different kind of sodas.

🍦Eye Scream station for unlimited ice cream (open from 10.30 AM - 11 PM).

🍽️Let's talk adult dining at Palo!

Palo is a luxury dining experience serving Italian cuisine. This experience is not included in the price of your cruise, but a great way to explore a different menu.

🚢Located on deck 10 right at the back of the ship (aft) with panoramic windows it is an amazing experience, and a must-do for many cruisers!

🍳During sea days Palo offers an all you care to eat brunch. From eggs benedict, pancakes, waffles to pizza and steak, there is something for everyone. The brunch currently costs $50, including a glass of mimosa or Prosecco.

🍽️During the evenings you can choose to skip the main dining room and have dinner in Palo.
The dinner menu offers a prix fixe menu for $50 or an a la carte menu where prices vary per item.

Reservations are essential and can be made once your activity booking window opens. If you are unable to get a reservation when your window opens you may be able to book once on board.

Palo does have a dress code:
✨Guests are requested to dress in a manner consistent with the restaurant’s atmosphere. Formal or semi-formal attire is recommended. Also permitted is dress-casual attire with a polished look.

🚢 Looking for a Cruise Princess Photo Opportunity?!

👑The Royal Gathering takes place inside the main atrium on Deck 3. This event is free, however, you must have a reservation in order to attend. During the Royal Gathering you will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with 3-4 princesses.

If you don't manage to get a reservation, don't panic. You will have plenty of opportunities to meet princesses onboard.

Let me tell you this. If you’re on a Disney cruise, visit the Spa. It’s world class service and top notch treatments!

I booked the “Alone Time” package on our glacier day and enjoyed 3 hours+ of complete bliss.

✨Spa Villa with Whirlpool Tub
✨50-minute treatment
✨Tea time
✨Lounge chair w/ private viewing

Sauna, showers, snacks, lockers, towels … and more are available before and after your treatments, too.

I can’t think of a better way to experience an Alaskan glacier!

Disney Cruise Line offers a special Royal Court Royal Tea event! It is a 90-minute gathering that includes music, dancing, and storytelling. Reservations are required.

A great experience on the Disney Wonder with princesses Tiana, Belle, and Cinderella who told stories, signed autographs, and took pictures. A surprise swag bag, juice, tea/cakes, special dining service and private professional photos, too!

Worth the money and recommend it for children who love princesses.

🚢 Ship Tip: Kids’ Clubs

🐭Disney wouldn't be Disney if they didn't have great spots for kids of all ages! Here are some highlights:

🎨Oceaneers Club & Lab
For kids ages 3 to 10, this location keeps littles busy with amazing theming from Star Wars, Marvel and Toy Story, … you may not see them for hours at time!

You can check out all the activities once you board the ship on the navigator app. They will include things like games, trivia, crafts and special character meetings.

Disney gives your child a wristband, similar to a magic band, to check in and out of the clubs.
Parents can drop off and pick up whenever they want, and don’t panic, the cast members will let you know via the navigator app, if your child wants to be collected early or anything else you may need to know. Please note that your child needs to be fully toilet trained to go to the kids club by themselves.

😎Edge
Tweens (11-14 years) get their very own space.
This cool hangout has a basement inspired feel to it and, like the kids clubs, will have activities going on throughout the cruise such as karaoke, dance parties, video games stations, arts and crafts and a TV for chilling out and watching a movie.

👾Vibe
For the teens aged 14-17, Vibe is the ultimate place to hangout and chill.
Located in the funnel there’s video games, TVs, board games, and a smoothie/coffee bar. Plenty of activities if your teens are still wandering late at night and hanging with their counsellors.

🍼It’s A Small World Nursery
The kids clubs mentioned above are free, but the nursery has a small fee. It is available for the littlest guests, aged 6 months to 3 years, and has to be booked in advance with a minimum stay of 1 hour.

🔐You can give your children permission to check themselves out of the kidsclub or you can select the people connected to your party that are able to pick them up. Disney will ask for a secret password for a double check (password and photo ID on the computer).

Ketchikan, Alaska’s first city, had a lot to explore!

Well, it rains a lot in Alaska. But, don't let the weather rain on your parade! In Ketchikan, we experienced the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show.

Covered, cushioned, and heated seating ensures a cozy experience, shielding you from the elements while fearless lumberjacks battle it out in the great outdoors.

Disney cast members greeted us with towels, hot chocolate upon our return and gave us ponchos on our way out, too!

💪 Yo-Ho, let the Lumberjack Show begin! 🎉🪓

Glacier Day!

It was a beautiful sailing day as our captain pulled us next to the Sitkine Icecap. The views of the glacier from the cruise were incredible.

All the characters were available for pictures dressed in their Alaskan best. Phenomenal!

Disney’s Festival of Fantasy parade has some of the most eye-catching floats! And, the performers’ costumes are exquisite. Beauty and the Beast typically head up the first float. Festivities begin with the parade’s catchy tune exploding over the loudspeaker. Don’t miss this great entertainment on your next visit!
