Sip and Savor! 🍹

Introducing the Aperol Spritz! I first tried this refreshing blend of Prosecco and Aperol with a slice of orange when the temperatures were in the 90s walking through Italy. The only drink that seemed to be served with ice was this pretty orange beverage served in an oversized wine glass. One sip and I was hooked. It is now my official day drink!

Meet Karen! 😊

Karen Lynn is the owner of Trip and Sip Travel, her passion for travel began as the daughter of a Naval Pilot. Karen and her family lived in Hawaii, Guam, California, Maine, Florida, and Georgia all before she was 12 years old! This ignited a love for seeing new places and experiencing different destinations. Her favorite destination is the one she is in!! Some of her favorite experiences have been a cooking class on the rooftop with a local chef in Rome, exploring the markets of Istanbul, snorkeling and hiking the waterfalls in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, and navigating the curvy highways of the Road to Hana in Maui.

Travel Hack: Pack light! She used to be an "always check" and take everything in her closet kind of girl but now she only does carry on, even for an 11-day trip to Europe. It is so freeing to not worry about waiting for lost luggage and stuff you have to haul around with you. Do it once, and you will never go back!

Jamaica offers golf, pickleball, and tennis. Watersports which include sunfish sailing, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Some off-site excursions include the Martha Brae River rafting was very relaxing and Dunns River Falls is climbing up the falls which is 960 feet. Other than the golf, river rafting and Dunns River Falls, all of the activities are included at the resorts!

“We absolutely loved our trip to Europe this summer. Kristin planned the most perfect trip for us. It was the best combination of locations, activities, and downtime!!

First of all, the accommodations were spectacular!
The Pillows Hotel in Ghent and the Grand Hotel La Cloche in Dijon are amazing with wonderful bars and restaurants. The restaurant in the Pillows Hotel is beautiful. The bed and breakfast in Metz – Villa Camoufle - is gorgeous with the best fresh squeezed orange juice and fruit we have ever put in our mouths. We loved Bruges so much. It is beautiful and our tour guide was wonderful. A very walkable city and the weather that day was perfection. Antwerp is also a great destination with the most amazing zoo right beside the train station which was our favorite thing there. I did not expect to love Metz as much as I did. It is a precious town with lots of shopping, restaurants/bars, and of course the Georgia Tech campus☺. The host couple of the bed and breakfast was very generous with lots of recommendations for our time there. It was definitely an authentic French experience!!

Strasbourg is another very walkable city full of wonderful shopping and history and again another fantastic tour guide. Private tour guides were perfect for our family. Kristin made sure to design our travels so that we could catch some of the Tour de France which was a highlight for all of us. If you are ever in France during the tour, I highly recommend it.
Switzerland did not disappoint either!! The hike from the top of Mount Rigi was so worth it. Beautiful views while being serenaded by cowbells.
Our hotel- The Cascada Hotel - is located in the less touristy part of Lucerne which I loved and it too had a delicious restaurant.
Our absolute favorite restaurant of the entire trip was in Lucerne called La Cucina. It is a must!!

We absolutely made the right decision by asking Kristin to plan our trip. She took care of everything – booking our hotels, tours, train tickets, dinner reservations, and excursions!! Could not have been happier.”

Throwback to October 2022 at the Sandals Barbados for Caitlin's honeymoon! It was their first Sandals experience and it did not disappoint. "We had a blast visiting all the different pools, trying the restaurants (our favorite was the sushi restaurant, it was so fresh!), and enjoying the nightly entertainment. The first photo is of a rooftop bar overlooking the ocean and the main pool. The second photo is of their beautiful white sand beach. The third is a picture of our favorite fresh sushi!"

My recent Windstar cruise was one an amazing experience! With only 150 fellow cruisers, we were able to connect and have the personal experience of the staff knowing our name, what drinks we liked, what food we liked, it really takes a personal touch to a new level. All the hassles of large crowds were non existant. Trip and Sip has special pricing on three upcoming cruises. The first one being "Enchanting Greece and Amafi Coast", starting on October 12th 2024.
