Happy Birthday to Thomas Jefferson, our nations 3rd president and a visionary leader! 🎈 One of the famous faces on Mt. Rushmore and author of the Declaration of Independence, President Jefferson also had another huge contribution to our country...Ice Cream. 🍦 President Jefferson is credited for bringing the first written recipe of ice cream to the US. Next time you visit Mount Rushmore National Memorial be sure to stop at the Memorial Team Ice Cream Station and grab a scoop of TJ's vanilla ice cream, based on that original recipe.

Today is National Zoo Lovers Day! Here in the Black Hills we love Reptile Gardens! They happen to be in the Guinness Book of World Records as the World’s Largest Reptile Zoo. They have more species and subspecies of reptiles than any other zoo or wild animal park in the world! This unique animal park is set in beautiful botanical gardens housing some of the world’s deadliest snakes, giant tortoise, birds, crocodilians, bugs and amphibians.
