Situated in a grove of Chinese elm trees at the western edge of the city of Reading, Kansas – The Bunkhouse awaits the weary hunter and is located within one mile of the upper end of Melvern Lake’s public hunting area. The Bunkhouse is surrounded on three sides with agricultural land owned by the proprietors. Consisting of a 2-bedroom and 2-bath mobile home, The Bunkhouse provides a homey resting
spot for huntsmen and sleeps five adults comfortably and has the following accommodations:
West bedroom – full sized bed
East bedroom – 1 set bunk bed and 1 twin bed
Living room – 1 twin bed, 1 sofa, 2 recliners, TV with several local channels
West bathroom – full size bathroom, with tub and shower
East bathroom – garden size bathtub and separate shower
Kitchen – table and chairs, full size fridge, electric stove, microwave oven, crock pot, electric skillet, coffee pot and filters, electric tea kettle, pots, dishes, silverware. You’ll need to bring your own coffee, teabags, and food*
Laundry – full sized washer and dryer
Linens – all bedding and towels provided (no daily change outs unless previously approved)
Other – City water, central heat and air, charcoal grill/smoker with utensils, picnic table and chairs, parking, game cleaning area
Rates: Daily and weekly rates available
Deposit: $100 due within 10 days of booking (non-refundable except for medical emergency)
Payment: Due upon arrival - cash or single check only, no credit cards

Check out: Noon on day of departure
Waiver: Due upon arrival from all parties
Prohibited: No smoking; no pets inside The Bunkhouse
