I am getting excited. In 35 days we leave on our Alaska and Japan cruise. We then have a month on land and then a 25 day cruise back from Singapore.

We learned how they make bricks in Mexico. Sawdust, sand and cow manure 🙄 These men make at least 500 bricks a day each.

We just embarked on the Carnival Firenze for her inaugural sailing. We are headed to Mexico. She is very similar to her sister ship Carnival Venezia.

The crew are all having a good time and greeted us as we boarded. We also got to see the ribbon cutting and Christine Duffy, Carnival CEO welcomed all of us.

Spent the day in Miami. It was a stop on the Carnival Venezia on its way to the Bahamas. Loved the art deco style and wall paintings!!

We spent Valentine's Day on board the Carnival Venezia. Today is our first stop in Antigua. Had a wonderful time touring the island.

Cupid is our cruise director MarQ. The Love and Marriage show last night was the best!!

We enjoyed spending the last 2 days in New York City. Tomorrow we head off for our Southern Caribbean cruise. The pizza is thin and most people we saw ate it like a taco. The Ruben was good too!

We had fun in Kotor, Montenegro today. The Island and church is called Our Lady of the Rocks. It is a manmade island from all the sailors dropping rocks there when they went out to sea and when they came home in the 8th century. They even sunk old boats filled with rocks there.

We visited by chance on Defenders Day. This is where Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner after a 25 hour bombardment of the fort. We stood on the ramparts that were written about. The flag that flew today was the size that flew in the morning after the battle. It has 15 stars and stripes on the flag. There is so much history on the East Coast.

The Halifax public gardens are beautiful. They are free to everyone by city law!

This is the Titanic Cemetery. There were so many stories that our tour guide told us.

They added Halifax as an extra port. We loved it the best! I will break up the posts so you can see everything. It's where the victims of the Titanic are buried as well as beautiful public gardens. I would definitely like to spend more time in Halifax. They have so much to see.

Fun day at sea!! On the Journey Cruises they have the throw back sea day. That means horse & frog races. Our horse won and so did we. Our frogs had a little more difficulty, but the $10 went to St. Jude.

We bought a can of Burch Beer in Sydney. It is pink but tastes like root beer. It throws you mind drinking something pink that tastes like root beer.

Sydney, Nova Scotia fun! We found this little cafe with a deck above. We shared a cinnamon roll; the picture is only half of it!! It was huge.

Sydney Nova Scotia was our next stop. The roof of the church is actually an upside down boat. The locals didn't know how to build a roof but they did a boat. This church has survived many hurricanes with no damage. The roof is 100% original and has no nails or screws. It was built in the 1800's and still survives today.
