You never know what you’ll find at The Haven! This mornings addition of, “What did the bay wash up?” consists of a little Milli Vanilli, Debbie Gibson, and NKOTB flashbacks 🤣🤷🏽‍♀️ Who knows what was really on this tape, but I’m instantly taken back to my 80’s mixed tape days.
How long do you think this gem has been floating around the Chesapeake Bay before it landed here this am?

Side note- If you’ve never seen the sunrise over the bay, it’s time. There is nothing like it, even if it’s from the bedroom!

Persimmons are starting to drop so our friends are back! Herbie sat there looking up at the tree wondering when the next one would fall! Ha! I guess when you wait all year for your favorite snack, patience is worth it! 🐢

Private Wonderland
Wow! We cannot say enough about this exceptional property, the owners and the location. If you are looking to truly get away from it all and have a Haven, then this is for you. The home is perfectly appointed and comfortable for adults and children alike. Ryan and Ashley are superb hosts who have thought of every detail. They welcomed us with local coffee, smores for the firepit and memorial day goodies. We adored the private beach and wading and splashing in the crystal clear bay. We went into the little town of Reedville for brunch at the Reedville Market, but had fun preparing all of our other meals in the well stocked kitchen. We wanted for nothing except for maybe more time there and will absolutely be back!!

The property itself is amazing and tucked away from the hussle and bussle. The house exceeded our expectations and had everything you could ever want or need. The house has plenty of space for everyone to gather together or get away from each other when you want some alone time. The little extra touches like coffee creamers, tea, hot chocolate and smores station were an unexpected surprise. Ashley and Ryan were always quick to respond and the whole process of communication was great from start to finish. The views from the house and the private beach couldn't have been any more amazing, especially enjoyed watching the lighthouse light at night time. We enjoyed drinking coffee and watching all the different species of birds that would visit the property. It was also so great that they provided kayaks/paddleboards and we enjoyed exploring the multiple coves around the house. One of the best touches for me was the fire pit. Ashley and Ryan have a solo stove on the property and as someone who can't stand the smell of campfires it was so amazing to actually be able to enjoy a night by the fire because that type of fire pit does not produce tons of smoke like regular ones do. Can't wait to visit again for our next girls trip! 10/10 recommend booking this place for weekends away with friends or family!!
