Job Description
WorldTravelService is the Mid-Atlantic's largest Virtuoso Travel Agency with Eight offices in and around Baltimore, MD, Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. We specialize in travel management services for both leisure and corporate travel.
We are currently seeking Independent Sales Consultants for this growing and exciting industry. Product and destination training provided.
Required Skills:
• 3-5 years’ experience in Consultative Sales.
• Prior experience working with customers and providing an exceptional experience.
• Sales experience including inside sales, outside sales, or retail sales is a plus.
• Steady work history and the commitment to starting a new career.
• Outgoing personality with expertise at developing relationships (i.e., a “people person")
• Strong and active listening skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong office technology skills
• Excellent appearance, verbal/written communication, strong presentation skills
• Must possess the ability to ask for the sale and follow through
• Candidates should possess decisive and successful problem-solving skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• International travel experience a plus
Other Skills :
• Geography and international destination knowledge is necessary. Training is provided.
• Book domestic and international reservations for air travel, rail tickets, hotel and car rentals. Training on supplier booking procedures and processes provided.
• Stay educated on our preferred vendors and current travel related affairs. Through in house vendor presentations, online webinars, and travel events.
• Provide alternatives for customer travel.
• Knowledge of Client Base CRM a plus - training provided
• Travel industry experience/personal international travel experience a plus
Job Description :
• Develop rapport with clients.
• Qualify clients to create a custom travel experience.
• Professionally present travel options offered by our preferred travel suppliers that meet clients’ needs and budget.
• Book and manage tour, cruise and vacation packages offered by our preferred travels suppliers.
• Process bookings and payments for travel according to company policy and procedure.
• Present finalized booking documents and travel details to travelers.
• Follow up debrief with clients when travel is completed for trip evaluation and preliminary planning of next vacation.
