The Badlands National Park in South Dakota was one of my favorite parts of our two week road trip. It was not a planned part of our adventure, but something amazing that we made time for. πŸŒ„ Try to spend a full day there to see both the sunrise and sunset πŸŒ… Both host an array of gorgeous colors you’ll want to remember.πŸ‘ At Pinnacles Overlook you’re very likely to see bighorn sheep, Yellow Mounds, and Robert’s Prairie Dog Town.πŸ¦• At the Fossil Discovery Trail (about 1/4 a mile away from the Ben Reifel Visitor Center) there are exhibits and a twice a day fossil talk (summertime).🚴 Biking allowed on paved routes.πŸ’§ There is not water within the park - so be prepared with plenty for hikes or biking.🐍 Listen for the warning signs of Prairie Rattlesnakes. A great start to a weekend with your girlfriends. Upon arrival to Santa Fe we had reservations for Gruet Winery where we’re each ordered different flights for tasting.
