Drop off your scrap metals, herbs, appliances, aluminum cans, and tin cans to the oldest continuous business in Richlands! This business was started by Vick Holmes during the depression years of the early 1930's. Vick rode on horseback up the many hollows of the area buying furs and herbs from residents. Soon the business grew to the point of needing a physical facility to do business.... and land was purchased on Big Creek. It is still there to this day. Vick eventually brought two of his sons, Alvin and Robert, into the business to take over at his passing. They brought in a third partner, Max Smith, and continued the salvage business until their own deaths. Today, the business is still flourishing under the ownership of their descendents, Mark, Patricia, and Barbara. So, come on by and check us out!
