Tomorrow, February 1st, is the annual Rides on the River at Fort McAllister State Historic Park! Bring a car or just bring yourself and join the fun! In addition, the fort will have reenacts, cannon and musket firings, and you can tour the fort and museum. Make it a fun Saturday in the Hill! See you there from 10-2.

The former Ways Heath Association/Henry Ford Clinic is the latest addition to the Coastal Bryan Heritage Trail. Stop 16.

The building has been beautifully restored, and a historic marker has been added. Learn the history of this building and more by downloading our app and click the Driving Trail tab. As we remember President Jimmy Carter, here is a great summary of how he helped save our nearby Ossabaw Island from development. Today, the island is managed by the Ossabaw Island is managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources as Georgia’s first Heritage Preserve. Visitors can enjoy the beaches by boat and day trips to the island by special tours, through the Ossabaw Island Foundation.

The nation remembers Jimmy Carter's environmental legacy, which is felt closest in his home state.
