Roger is in recovery Dr said it went well. He has been in recovery couple hours and then possible going up to the pcu unit for couple days. They sent off some lymph nodes just to double check them.

I want to give props to this husband of mine. He is this hardest working guy I know and still makes it a point to help other people. When I’m stressed and need help he is ready to go. When I want to attend events for fundraisers and he has worked in heat all day he says let’s go. When I need help with my work things he says what you need me to do. When tree falls blocking the road at 2 am and I cannot not leave or enter the neighborhood for work he comes and cuts it up.

He has been out working and coming home to no power at all. Helping to charge phones etc in the vehicles. All this while having some medical issues of his own. 4 days ago added wearing a boot for foot pain. He will be having some other medical testing done Tuesday. He can work circles around 2 young adults doing hard labor in yards all day long. Please say a prayer for us for Tuesday’s testing.

I don’t usually do this. However, this is truly very personal to me…

Maybe if people's heads weren't buried in the sand of ignorance and they took the time to understand, instead of judging and thinking it won't happen to them because they have the perfect family, life would be a little bit easier for people that do experience this! For family and friends who live under this shadow. The days of 'it' not being talked about or being taboo should be over. In the most difficult moments of life you realize who your true friends are, and the people who really appreciate you. Unfortunately, most social media 'friends' aren't true friends. They will send you a "like" here and there, but in reality they do not take time to read your status if they see it's lengthy. More than half will stop reading right here, or have already scrolled on to the next post on their page. I decided to post this message in support of all those who continue to battle with their mental illness. (Su***de is at an all time high). Now, let's see who will have taken the time to read this lengthy post right through to the end. If you have read everything so far, please "like" it so that I can put a thank you on your page. More mental health awareness is urgently needed. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean people aren't suffering. Please, try to spare a little of your time with someone who may just want to talk (about anything). Talking can help us all to cope a little more, keeping things bottled up just makes it worse. Most people will say, "if you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, I'll be there to help you" but will they? I believe a select few of my friends will post this, to show their support for those who may be struggling. You just have to copy and paste rather than sharing. I'd like to know who will take a minute out of their day to read this all the way to the end and then copy and paste it to their page, will you? If so, please write "done" in the comments.

NEWS: Tropical Storm Idalia Update #2 6pm 2/28/23 (Last update for tonight)

BRYAN COUNTY Ga, Bryan County is now under a Tropical Storm Watch and Storm Surge Watch as conditions are right for potential tropical storm force winds. The outer bands of Tropical Storm Idalia are now expected to impact coastal Georgia as soon as Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 8pm. As the storm continues, the track and speed may change further. Rip currents and storm surge are a threat due to Idalia and Hurricane Franklin in the Atlantic Ocean.

The Bryan County Emergency Operations Center continues to closely monitor Idalia. At this time, Bryan County residents should take the following steps to prepare for a potential of flooding from 4-8 inches of rain in low lying areas and high winds of 40-80 mph.
• Secure loose or lightweight items outside your house or business.
• Keep your vehicles fueled.
• Finalize your disaster kit.
• Ensure you have at least 3 days of water and non-perishable foods.
• Ensure you have extra medications and medical supplies.
• If your medication requires refrigeration, ensure you have a plan in place should you lose power for an extended period of time.
• Make sure all information in your family communication plan is up to date and everyone knows the plan.
• Make provisions for your pet. Make sure they are inside, out of the elements, and have plenty of food and water.
• Flooding is possible in low lying areas; Turn Around Don't Drown!
• Secure watercraft as storm surge is possible.
