Virginia Green Suppliers Network The new VGSN will be run by the VHTA, which will actively market and promote the network directly to its membership and the entire tourism industry.

The VGSN was created in September of 2010 to serve as a resource to Virginia Green, the state’s program to encourage green practices throughout the tourism industry. Nearly 900 registered Virginia Green participants are actively searching for green products and services to support their greening efforts; and the VGSN is meant to be their primary source. Virginia Green is run through a partnership

between the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, the Virginia Tourism Corporation, and the Virginia Hospitality & Travel Association.

Benefits of becoming a Virginia Green Supplier: • Listing of your green products and services on the Virginia Green Suppliers Network webpage. Your listings will be included in any of the product and services categories that apply with product descriptions and web-links. • Direct exposure to the Virginia Green participants. The VGSN will be marketed directly to the Virginia Green participants by the VHTA, and the Virginia Green program will identify the VGSN as the primary resource for green products and services. • New Suppliers will be featured in the monthly Virginia Green Gazette and on Virginia Green’s Facebook, Twitter, etc. • Use of the Virginia Green Supplier Network logo to identify your products and services as being listed in Virginia Green Suppliers Network. (Please read the attached policy on use of the VGSN logo) • Opportunities to participate in Virginia Green workshops, conferences, and other events. • Opportunity to showcase green products, services, and commitments to your existing and potential customers. • Opportunities to provide special promotions and/or group pricing to Virginia Green participants.
