Today is D-Day, which marked the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe in 1944, ultimately leading to the defeat of N**i Germany and the end of World War II.

This year, it’s more important than ever to commemorate the brave sacrifices that were made 80 years ago so that all future generations are safe, and to recognize that there is still so much to be done to combat hate, N**ism, and antisemitism around the world.

It’s easy to forget how history may repeat itself if you don’t learn from the mistakes of the past and take for granted everything that our forefathers fought for in the past.

Time flies when you are having a great time!

Thank you Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 for your hospitality over the last 9 days!

Thank you to my incredible group of wonderful women for allowing me to take you around this amazing country. It has been an absolute blast! I don’t remember last time when I laughed so much!

Castles, gardens, blue skies, whisky and gin, highland chocolates, Scottish salmon and haggis, afternoon tea with champagne, historic train ride, Culloden battle field, sheep dogs, highland coos, folk night at a local pub, Royal Yacht Brittania and farewell dinner at a sister yacht Fingal, and of course a bit of Outlander magic. I could not have asked for a better trip!

We arrived as strangers and we are returning home as friends.

In the winter, Switzerland and nearby destinations in the Alps are a heaven for winter sports enthusiasts and those like me that want to sit back in a lodge with a glass of wine and enjoy the majestic scenery.

The Dolomites in Italy are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and can be reached from Milan, Venice and Verona. The region is well-known for mountain climbing, hiking and biking in the summer, and of course a variety of winter sports. This region offers miles and miles of alpine ski slopes, 30+ ski resorts and over 200 lifts!

Take a day trip to Milan for luxury shopping, or explore Turin, in the nearby Piedmont region, which hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics.

I had the pleasure of visiting there in 2023 and the region is just breathtaking! It's a great fit for families, couples, and anyone who enjoys winter sports and the outdoors. There's so much more than skiing or snowboarding - snowshoeing, ice-skating, tobogganing, spas and wellness, artisanal food and culinary experiences - you name it!

In light of the tragic events over the last few days of Hamas terrorist attacks that happened and continue to happen in Israel that killed more than 1,000 civilians, including children, women, and elderly, plus hundreds of others taken hostages, I wanted to share these resources of how we can help.

These resources were shared by a reputable travel company based in Israel, our partners on the ground who we trust. If you can help and donate, please review the list below.

I have to say when it comes to travel and hotels I am a snob. I have been so privileged to travel so some of the most amazing places in the Caribbean, Europe and the Americas and when I say I am impressed with a hotel or a destination - let’s just say that doesn’t happen often.

And I was very impressed by The Landings St Lucia!

First of all, I loved the setting - secluded beach, with gorgeous views of the mountains on both sides, calm shallow beach - definitely gives you a vibe of a far away island.

I loved that even with a 96% occupancy it felt like the hotel was half empty and often in the mornings and evenings we had the beach to ourselves. So if having a laid back quiet resort and a beach where you don’t have to fight for the lounger in the shade at 6 am - this is the place for you.

I was pleasantly surprised that even though we were there in June, it never got hotter than 85 degrees and humidity was in the low 80ies too - quite frankly it gets hotter in NJ in the summer!

I loved having a beachfront suite with a private whirlpool bath on the ground level which was literally steps from the beach.

And having butler service was such a treat! When the little one took a nap in the afternoon we could have lunch delivered to the room. The butler also brought us drinks and snacks to the beach, set up loungers with towels, and was always available via a separate cell phone for any questions that we had.

Two beachfront restaurants had amazing views and fresh delicious food and drinks available all day round.

The Landings St Lucia certainly spoiled us and we can’t wait to be back!
