🖊️ An autograph book for Disney character signature is "Practically perfect in every way" – Mary Poppins, especially for 1st visits. This is a great way to interact with characters while making memories.

I still have my kid’s 1st Disney autograph book from early 20something sitting in our bookshelf and I still remember excited kids waving those books & pens and huge smiles for pictures.

🕰️ Now fast forward to current time and I am amazed at the ideas that have replaced autograph books.
Here are some creative suggestions I have seen from the parks, on the net and shared by other Disney enthusiasms.

📖 Character signature on almost anything that a sharpie can sign. I would suggest any item you can manage carrying around in the parks and is appealing and will be memorable to you. But just remember the autograph book is still magical.
• Pre-cut picture mat board. Afterwards frame the mat board with a picture with a character or in front of the castle.
• Back-pack, f***y pack, tote bag, baseball hat, t-shirt.
• Water bottles
• Story books. Find a book of Disney fairytales or Little Golden Books and have the character sign a page in the book where they are pictured. What a joy to read the story in the future and have that fun memory flash back as you read the book.
• A craft book and on the opposite page leave room for a picture with the character.
• A lightweight wood flat board in shape of Mickey’s head.
• Wood craft ornaments. So many options on how to decorate with these.

💭 Be creative, you are building a memory of moments you want to remember and to show case what a wonderful time you had at Disney.
🔔 Just remember make sure to have sharpie color pens that work on your chosen item to autograph and depending on that item you may want to research how to seal the item for preservation.
🪄 Hope one of these suggestions works for you.

For those who need to update the App you will see the "Update" button. Those who see the "Open" button, you are already updated to the Version 8.0. See the section “What’s New” that confirms you are ready for the New Lighting Lane system.

Time to get the party started! So excited for this new system that will let you plan at least 3 attractions before you arrive at Disney World. Getting you straight to the Magic!

🍦 It's DOLE Whip Day! Today July 18th is the 4th annual celebration, which is honored on the 3rd Thursday of July, and runs through July 21.
Check out this Disney story for a list of all the Dole Whip flavors to be found throughout Disney Destinations during the honoree days. Going through this yummy list makes me want to visit and gobble up a few. Wonder how many I can try in a Disney visit? Hmmm! The Dole Whip Challenge! I accept.
On my next visit I am going to see how many different Dole Whip desserts I can sample and how many listed in this story I can find to try. Will be back at a future date with my Dole Whip experience 411. Until then Stay Magical!

🍍 It's National Dole Whip Day! I have always been a traditional pineapple dole whip type of girl until I fell in love with everything pumpkin. Now totally love the Witches Dole Whip Fight served at Swirls on the Water in Disney Springs. The flight includes pumpkin soft serve, cheesecake soft serve and pineapple soft serve. All so Delish! and 3 fantastic flavors.

Information on the New Upcoming Lightning Lane pass system continues. Lighting Lane Multi Pass and Lighting Lane Single Pass is scheduled to take effect on July 24, 2024 for all 4 parks at Walt Disney World. See my 3 earlier posts on Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Hollywood Studio.

Now on to Animal Kingdom. At Animal Kingdom the new pass system will be a bit different. There is ONLY a Lightning Lane Multi Pass option. There are No tiers. ALL 3 selections will be made from the Multi Pass options.

Guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort will have the opportunity to purchase their Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Passes 7 days in advance of check-in. Other guests can purchase the pass system 3 days in advance.
Guests can purchase Lightning Lane passes for days they have valid theme park admission starting at 7:00 am Eastern Time on their first day of eligibility.

At Animal Kingdom you will ONLY be able to select Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Which gives you the option of 3 Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows in advance. All pass system option for Animal Kingdom will happen with purchase of this option only.

📸 Attraction Photo Perk! The Second EXTRA Perk to look forward to with the New Upcoming Lighting Lane Multi Pass and Lighting Lane Single Pass. 🎉 The PhotoPass Lens & photos at select attractions 🎉

🫧 The PhotoPass Lens gives you access to silly backgrounds and favorite characters to add to your selfie when taking a picture at either a designated park or anywhere in Disney.
Go to My Disney Experience App, Disney PhotoPass, PhotoPass Lenses and you will see some cute, silly, seasonal lenses to add to your selfie. Some option swill give you the location where the lens is valid and it can all be done on your cell phone.

🫧 Select attractions will also download attraction experience photo if you follow the My Disney Experience access as outlined in my video perk post. I always enjoy my Haunted Mansion photos, never know at what moment the camera will capture you.

📷 More memorable Disney pictures to add to your collection. Take a peek at PhotoPass Lens and attraction experience pictures. I now know what Me as Genie would like.😆

🍷 It’s Thursday and depending on your preference it could Tasty Thursday or Thirsty Thursday or Both!
Let me share one of my favorite Disney Springs Eats that has some yummy choices, The BOATHOUSE.
The BOATHOUSE serves some very yumminess of Seafood and Steak.

These are some delish dishes we have tried.
🦞 Maine lobster roll, filet mignon sliders, hoisin chili calamari, NY Steak & fries, grilled fresh mahi, roasted jumbo sweet potato, truffle fries, grilled asparagus, baked potato.
🍺 And the libation, so many choices: Duck Duck Razz, Blueberry lemonade & local craft beers.

🛥️ A little tidbit about The BOATHOUSE they are part of Chicago’s Gibson Bar & Steakhouse family, so they know how to make steak. Yum!
So many choices and so much yumminess, they will keep you coming back again and again.

🚘 Ahoy Matey! If you are feeling adventurous, try out the Amphicar. A car that drives on land and WATER! Nope, we did not have one too many cocktails. These rare vintage cars do travel on water. It’s a 25-minute tour on the lake to see Disney Springs landmarks.
