Fantasy day 2: Disney Cruises are a ton of fun! The activities never seem to stop! It is definitely hard to decide which ones you want to participate in and which ones are good for the family!

For us, Day 2 was a sea day! We slept in a little and then finally made it to Lunch! We stopped by the sweet shoppe! Had lunch at the buffet. We did trivia in one of the lounges and had dinner in the enchanted garden.

Today, we also saw the Fantasy’s production of Aladdin! It was really outstanding! The show was so much fun and such amazing quality!

Lauren went to the teen club while Amanda and I hit up one of the two happy hours. We had fabulous martini’s at Ohh LA La!

We did some late night family karaoke and then had to rest up for our big excursion! Amanda is supposed to be the driver but they made me bring my license in case. We also requested an automatic car. Fingers crossed!!!

Fantasy Cruise: Day 1

We took the Disney transportation. It picked us up at the Grand Floridian at 9 am. It was $45 per person and they arrived at our room to collect our luggage at 7:40 am. We were also assigned group 4 for boarding which was a nice early boarding group!

Once at the port, we went quickly through security and then sat until group 4 was called. It was a pretty seamless process.

We had lunch at the buffet onboard, Cabanas and then waited for our room to be ready. I do have a video that I can post if you are interested in a cabin tour! We purchased the robe for Lauren and a bag of goodies that included a fish extender.

At 2 pm, we headed to the kids club so Lauren could meet C3-PO. That was like a little dream come true for her. We also explored the kids club because Lauren can’t hang out there.

Headed to our room to decorate with the magnets that we got to commemorate our trip and make us look fancy! Stopped by the DVC desk and they also added an additional magnet to our door!

It was time for our muster drill and then the Sail Away Party! That was a lot of fun! We headed to the atrium to meet Captain Mickey! Amanda and I grabbed a welcome home drink! We saw Chip and Dale too!

We then unpacked and got ready for dinner! Tonight we ate at Animator’s Palate. They have rotating restaurants here on DCL. So we get to experience all three!

Amanda and I hit up the adult area while Lauren checked out the Teen club. We met up to watch karaoke and then headed back to our room for the night. We ordered warm cookies and tea.

Well…..our Walt Disney World vacation is officially over. It started out as a wonderful trip, but I took an unfortunate turn. Happily, it did rebound the last few days. I was happy to make some memories and have adventures! Off to the final part of our vacation!

Hoping we have some wifi to share some of our adventures!

After 2 wonderful weeks of family time, Kenneth is heading home (someone has to fund my dream vacations 😂) . We had some very nice family time (minus my being sick for a few days) and I am so glad that he was finally able to join us after quite the Disney hiatus.

Lauren and I will continue on in Florida for awhile longer and enjoy the parks for a few more days! Kelly joins in on the fun today for a bit! Then the party really starts when Amanda arrives for cruise time!

So much fun has been had already and I still have so much to look forward to. I am very lucky to have these opportunities and experiences.

Wondrous Wednesday: Did you know about enchanted extras? I am going to highlight one that we used today! Today, Lauren did Capture The Moment in Hollywood Studios! You get 20 minutes with a photographer all to your family! If you have a large family, I’d recommend back to back sessions. Take a look at some of the 58 photos Lauren had this morning! 🏨

Disney Day 10: We slept in today, which was so nice. There is no tired quite like Disney tired. IYKYK. Also, the heat has been something 😳 So instead of rushing off to a park, we went to the pool. We relaxed, had lunch and did some swimming! No complaints here!

Then off to the Halloween Party! This is a special ticketed event. You must have a separate ticket to attend. The party officially begins at 7, but with your ticket you can enter at 4. The park is supposed to be less crowded to make it more appealing, which for us it definitely worked out.

I got in line for the Minne sipper, because I HAD to have it. I sent Lauren and Ken off to do some attractions so they didn’t have to just stand around. I got my sipper and Lauren got my popcorn bucket! We also grabbed a cake pop and Ken had a corn dog. I actually rented a locker so I didn’t have to carry around those clunky buckets 😂. We were able to ride Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Soace Mountain, Buzz, Pooh, and trick or treat!

We went and got seats for the parade. We went about 45 minutes early to have a place to sit and order some food at Pecos Bill. The Halloween parade is my favorite! After the parade, Tiana was walk on! We got to enjoy this ride and then we headed for the exit. I picked up my buckets and out we went! We arrived back to our resort at 12:30 and off to dreamland! 💤

Disney Day 9:

We started way too early today, but not early enough! We arrived at Animal Kingdom at 7:20 for the 7:30 opening and we headed straight to Flight of Passage. By the time we got to the line it was already an hour wait. We decided to wait it out because I wasn’t willing to pay for the individual lightening lane.

I did purchase the multi lane lightening lane today for research purposes so I had first hand experience. I absolutely believe that there is a learning curve and I was not my best, but I do feel as though we got our money’s worth. Here’s how we used it.

⚡️Dinosaur
Expedition Everest (no lightening)
⚡️Expedition Everest
⚡️Safari
Lunch
⚡️Rocking Roller Coaster
Frozen Sing along
⚡️Toy Story Mania
⚡️Tower of Terror

I tried to catch a Frozen or a Ratatouille, but no dice 🎲
So we headed back to the Riviera to cool off. We then headed over to Epcot for our Guardian of the Galaxy extra hours ride.

Dinner( we got the kids meals which cost $8.30 and was plenty of food)
Spaceship Earth 🌍
Guardians of the Galaxy

That’s it for today. Busy, busy day. Tomorrow we are doing the pool until we have the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween 🎃 party.

Disney Day 8: Our adventures today included getting to Hollywood Studios for extra morning hours so we could ride Rise of the Resistance. We were able to ride this and Smuggler’s Run all before about 9:15. We then headed over to Toy Story Mania for a little friendly competition…. Ken broke 200,000 and beat both Lauren and I. Then off to Tower of Terror! After this it was just about 11 am, so we decided to head to Disney Springs.

We did some shopping…. Surprise! 😂 Had lunch at the Earl of Sandwich and then we needed a few small things that I forgot at home, so off to Walmart! That was an adventure in itself.

During our Walmart run, the sky opened up and the thunder and lightning was intense! Once we finished up with Walmart we came back and I did laundry… talk about a good time! 🤣 It ended up heavy downpouring for quite some time, so we also snuck in a nap.

Our last adventure for the evening was dinner at Space 220. It was very good, but way too much food. We were all stuffed after dinner!

Disney Day 7: Today, I started out by waking up and grabbing the virtual queue for Guardians of The Galaxy! Our number was pretty far into the queue, so we went back to sleep 😴 We finally got up and got moving my around 10 am! We went to the park and did some attractions and shopping. It was getting close to our lunch reservation, so we walked from the international gate at Epcot to the Yacht Club. We had a nice lunch at Ale and Compass. The pricing was in line with quick service meals and it was a nice sit down restaurant.

Then I got to reconnect with a friend I have been trying to get together with at home for the longest time! It was so nice to see Kim and Dan! We ended up chatting for about 3 hours and it was like no time had ever passed! We couldn’t believe that it took catching one another in Walt Disney World to share some laughs and great conversation! After I left, I realized we never even grabbed a photo!

Ken and Lauren met me back at Epcot and we went in to ride Guardians finally! We missed our boarding time, but they were gracious enough to let us go anyway. We have ridden it twice since arriving and have had the same song both times: Everybody wants to rule the world….🌎

Magic kingdom was open until 11 pm, so we hopped the monorail and headed over. We did some attractions, ate some kids meals and finished up with ice cream! 🍨 We got out before the park closed because we had to bus back and we knew the bus would be crowded. Now I’m all tucked in bed and ready to sleep!

Here are some pics of today’s adventures! If I have one recommendation, it is always get the memory maker! It may seem like an expense at first, but you get such great photos!

Disney Day 6: We were up early this morning to take advantage of the extra half hour that Disney resort guests have! We were able to ride both the Tower of Terror and Rockin’ Roller Coaster before 9:15. We headed straight to Minnie and Mickey’s Runaway Railway! We then did some shopping and took the boat to breakfast at the Beach Club! Cape May Cafe never lets me down!

We headed back to the Riviera and tried to book the mosaic making, but it was already sold out. The Riviera only holds the class on Fridays, boo! We went to a Riviera tour and then took a nap! 💤

Upon waking up, we went got ready to head back to Hollywood Studios! As we were waiting in line for the Skyliner…. Thunder and lightning ⚡️. So we headed to the bar. Once we finished up our drinks, off to Hollywood. It was crowded tonight because the Magic Kingdom had its first Not So Scary Halloween Party 🎃 we were able to still accomplish some attractions and had dinner! Tomorrow is Epcot and trying for the Guardian Queue!

Well, today was mainly a chill day for us because I knew (that Disney inner speak) that our room would not be ready early.

We checked out of Old Key West and headed to breakfast at Ravello at the Four Seasons Orlando. It is a character breakfast that features Goofy, Mickey and Minnie. Breakfast was nice, but I still prefer Cape May Cafe. (I’ll let you know for sure because I booked 2 breakfast meals back to back. ) The hotel is beautiful and you get to drive through Golden Oaks. (This is where I’m purchasing a home when I win the lottery. Hence, you will know the signs!) Breakfast is only 2 days per week with Goofy and Friends.

We then decided to travel to the Character Warehouse. The line was a bit much, but they do have lots of current inventory at outlet prices. Lauren got another (yes, another) light saber. This time it was Yoda and it was marked down to $75! It is currently retailing on the Disney Store app for $249! Picked up a couple of other things I definitely didn’t need, but with the prices I couldn’t let go (especially since we have the car) I’ve asked Ken to take me back next Thursday for the bonus hour for passholder (I know, I got issues).

Lauren and I then found a small place to have pedicures. The gentleman was lovely and it was about the same price as home. We ran to Publix and CVS and headed to our home for the week.

Hello Riviera! We got into the room about 4:30 and unpacked since we will be here for an entire week! Yayy! We went downstairs and purchased our cups and had some dinner. Lauren and I were going to hop on the skyliner to hit the Boardwalk for ice cream, but lightening had other plans. So now we are just enjoying some quiet time on our balcony (my favorite feature of a deluxe resort, along with the pools)

Well, going to rest because we are going for morning time at Hollywood Sudios! Rope dropping is serious business. We need to get in at least 3 rides prior to our breakfast at Cape May Cafe! Wish us luck!

Walt Disney World: Day 2

This morning, I woke up to complete our virtual queue for Tiana’s Bayou at 7 am and boy was it pouring….. I didn’t bother to wake up Ken and Lauren because I didn’t think there was anyway we were riding this morning!

A little after 8, our phones start blaring warning us ⚠️ of Debby! Scared us into jumping out of bed for sure! A little after 9 and ur group number was called…. We said, “Let’s Do This!” So off to the Magic Kingdom we went!

Between 10:30 and 5, we accomplished a ton! We came back to freshen up and headed off to Epcot for Extended Hours for Deluxe Resort Guests.

I successfully attempted and received all 3 virtual queues today! Win! 🥇

Last night, we set out on our summer adventure! Ken made the 15 hour drive from our home and we arrived in Disney this afternoon! We checked into the brand new cabins at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds (if you know me, you know we are not tent folks, so a beautiful cabin it is!) I added some photos for you to see below!

The cabins sleep 6 people. We have a bedroom with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds. In the main room, you have a queen sized Murphy bed! Then a kitchen complete with refrigerator and stove! One bathroom here past the kitchen!

After grabbing some naps, we headed out to the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Review Dinner and Show! Always a great time!

Now I came back and worked on a reservation and off to slumber town! Tomorrow we are going to start with our park days!

If you need any Disney planning help, have questions about our adventures or want to book a trip, please feel free to reach out to me! As soon as I have some down time, I will take care of you!

Fun fact Friday: One of my favorite times to visit Disney is during a festival! Lauren and I love to eat and drink our way around the world!

Lauren does great food reviews! I’ll try to find one to post 😂

Another thing we love is Eat to the Beat! You pay for a dinner and premium seat to a show! We always try to sneak in and see Joey Fatone!

EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

This festival has been held at Walt Disney World's EPCOT since 1995, and features global marketplaces, live music, cooking demonstrations, wine sampling, and celebrity chef appearances. The festival is included with admission to EPCOT, but food and other items at the booths cost extra. The 2024 festival will take place from August 29 to November 23.

It’s Tip Tuesday!

There are multiple modes of transportation at Walt Disney World 🌎! You can take the monorail, boat, bus or today’s feature mode….. the skyliner!

When staying at a resort with the skyliner system, you will find it so easy to get to Epcot and Hollywood Studios! There are five stops on the Skyliner path!

Large families can easily fit in! There is plenty of room for 10 members of a family! You can also easily get a scooter in there(they have a special place to load, so they don’t feel rushed)!

There are over 300 Gondolas and many are decorated with your Disney Favorites!

The Gondolas move at a maximum speed of 11 miles per hour, which keeps the rides between stations all less than 20 minutes!

The gondolas will reach a maximum height of 60ft, so be mindful for those family members who may have a fear of heights!

The best part about August is spending it with some of my favorite people in my second home! I’m not sure how summer has gone so quickly, but in 2 weeks you will find me chasing a mouse and living my best life!

This morning at 6 am I made sure I was awake to book my very first family traveling to Disney World using my services dining! It was exciting and nerve wracking all at once! In the end, I was able to secure dinner for 7 at all of their first choices!

I cannot tell you how much it means to have had so much support as I begin this journey! I’m so excited for my families traveling in September and so very thankful! What an adventure this has already been!

Tricia's Tuesday Tip:
Did you know that as a Disney Resort Guest, you can begin your day at any of the 4 Disney Theme parks 30 minutes early?

Even though 30 minutes may not sound like much, you can tackle a must do ride or 2 in that time frame! We usually try to arrive 45 minutes early to be in line for the ride when the 30 minutes begins! Before the park even opens to many guests, we have been able to conquer Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster or Rise of the Resistance and Smuggler's Run! HUGE timesaver!

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
