The Embera Indigenous Tribe in Panama is one of 7 officially recognized indigenous groups in Panama. The Ella Puro is located in the Soberania National Park near Gamboa. The Community is only about an hour from Panama City but it's a world apart. Upon arrival they will welcome you with the invigorating pulse of their drums and traditional music, as they guide you into their community. There you will learn from the Embera firsthand how they depend on tourism and agriculture to survive in a National Park where hunting and fishing are prohibited. Naturally shy but kind at heart, the Embera will teach you about their history, culture and way of living in the tropical rainforest. This extraordinary experience culminates with the chance to witness their traditional dance and a shared meal of fish and plantains with them!

We have had the pleasure of hosting delegates from the National Council of State Legislatures over the past several days. And one of the highlights was a visit to Miraflores Locks Visitors Center with VIP behind-the-scenes access. We had our own Private Guide from the Panama Canal and witnessed two tankers transit the Canal just a couple of feet away. It was just our group that access to a restricted area! One of the biggest misconceptions about Panama City is that it is just another big capital city in Latin America and there is nothing interesting to visit. That couldn't be further from the truth. We like to call it a tale of 3 cities. Panama La Vieja (Old Panama) features the ruins of the original city torched by the Pirate Henry Morgan in 1671 and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Casco Antiguo is the colonial area where the new city was rebuilt and currently is THE place to eat and sleep in Panama City. Then there is the business and financial districts that comprise modern Panama City with skyscrapers rivaling those in Miami. So you won't want to visit Panama without taking one of our Private Panama City Tours!

Taboga, known as the “Island of Flowers” is the perfect day trip from Panama City. It’s about a 30 minute ferry ride south of Panama City, which is part of the phone. Once there you can walk around the small town, hike to the peak at the lookout point, and even see the second oldest church. But the main reason to go is to enjoy the beautiful beach which is within sight of Panama City but a world part!

It’s so fulfilling to see my clients having the trip of a lifetime in Panama right now. The husband is celebrating his 75th birthday, yet I’ve had them on the go non-stop since the 19th of November! I love my job!!
