Was a fun start to the Fall, have a few more pics yet. BUT…. I ended up having to have my hernia repaired. I’ll be down for about a month to 6 weeks. What was supposed to be a quick 45 minute hernia surgery turned into 2.5 hours yesterday. Was much worse than they were expecting! Oh well, that’s life!

My guides are still running some trips so don’t hesitate to call.

First fish on a Bomb Squad Baits flap tail. I’ve had this lure for like two years and never used it. Was fishing with Matt right before I went to Wisconsin and decided to try it out to take up there for the Championship. 3 casts later bam. Also the new prototype Hot Tail Gliders just keeps getting train wrecked this fall!!!

***I forgot to post this on my business page for everyone *** PMTT World Champions! Unbelievable! Michael Handlogten literally carried me through this tournament. I was dealing with a terrible hernia all weekend and he did most all of the lifting, carrying coolers and gear. I appreciated his help more than I probably told him. Looking forward already to next season bud!

We found fish prefishing, and actually caught a couple really nice fish. We formed a game plan and stuck to it. Fortunate it payed off against some of the best sticks in the musky game. Red October Baits was our meal ticket! SloFlo Glide Baits and Hot Tail Gliders saw action as well.

Next spring smallie post was Darrel and Bryant, these guys are fun to fish with and we do it a couple times a year. Fun story for this day, Bryant caught a citation fish and after I bumped it I just threw it back in the water without him getting a picture lol! I felt terrible! Good thing Bryant usually bangs a few a year so he wasn’t too worried about it!!!

My second spring smallie post is a day that meant a lot to me. Ryan and I have known each other since we were kids and haven’t seen each other in a long time. Ryan has had some heath issues recently and when his mom reached out to me for a gift certificate for him this Christmas I was excited to reconnect and spend a day on the water. A day I won’t forget!
