I was looking for one of my all-time favorite poems, “the truth”, by Randall Jarrell .
I always feel an exquisite connection to things when I read it out loud to myself. I remember one of my teachers, Marvin Bell, may he rest in peace, who was the first to read it to me . But today I found a different poem by Jarrell. I think it is much more famous than “the truth”, maybe even as famous as “the death of the ball turret gunner”. A LivingDance of trust and gratitude!

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Faralon Islands (outside the Golden Gate) and radioed for help. Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so badly off, the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her…. a very dangerous proposition. One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.
They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her. When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, nudged them, and pushed gently, thanking them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.
May you be so fortunate to be surrounded by people who will help you get untangled from the things that are binding you.
And, may you always know the joy of giving and receiving gratitude 🙏

Help! I have never had trouble stroing my ppts in Google folders. Suddenly, Google is transferring them into Google slides. I do not want that. Google removes my teaching videos in slidies and claims many are too big to open. They never have been before. Howe can I turn this automatic transofrmation of my slides into Google slides?

Karolina Bryl, has been awarded the 2021 Cotswold Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship for her research 'COVID-19, social isolation, and schizophrenia: A mixed methods feasibility study on the effects of telehealth dance/movement therapy to promote activation in chronic schizophrenia'.
