Phyllis Byars Prater was born on January 06, 1963 to Douglas and Clara Byars. She was the oldest of 3 children. Phyllis was a devout wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. You could always find a smile on Phyllis face and a warm kind greeting whenever you saw

Another one is in the books! The 20th annual Heritage Day was a huge success! If you were returning friends and family or a first timer, we hope you enjoyed your day with us as much as we enjoyed having you. We would like to take a moment to share our thank you's to everyone. First and foremost, we would like to say thank you to Mr. Jimmy Yates for allowing us to enjoy this free event showcasing his beautiful paradise atop Rocky River Mountain. He takes great pride in sharing his way of life and that of so many of us that grew up in the area in a time where farm, family and friends were a part of life. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the Event Participants that shared their special gifts with us throughout the day. We would like to thank the behind-the-scenes family and friends, who pour their hearts and helping hands into the preparations before, the day of, and the days after the 1st Saturday in October. We hope that everyone that came through the gates were taken back to a time that brought a smile to your face, a warm memory to your heart, and a strong feeling of your heritage!

**CORRECTION**
The Cruise-In was listed as a Car Show on our flyer. It will be a Cruise-In. It is a laid back part of Heritage Day with no fees to enter. There are no trophies or awards. It is just a bring your beautiful vintage ride and Show and Shine. Meet old friends and new. There will be designated areas around the property for everyone that comes out to participate. We are sorry for any confusion or inconvenience and please let us know if you have any questions.

American Legion Post 207 will be making their annual appearance to pay tribute to the many Veterans who have served our country in all branches of the United States Military and continue to serve our community through action. They will be at the Photo Gallery where many photos of service members are on display.
