To the MANY volunteers that have helped to make Heritage Day 2023 be the best that it can be, we say thank you! Without the generosity of your valuable time and helping hands, we could not do this. The behind the scenes are just as important as the day itself and we hope that each one of you know how greatly we appreciate all that you do. One specific person we would like to mention is Bonnie Hale (she will fuss about this). She has spent every year since Heritage Day has started, helping in a huge capacity (this year is no exception) but could not attend this year. She was greatly missed but we look forward to seeing her and Gerald next year!

Thank you, Jason Hillis and your crew, for sharing your Hit and Miss Engines that powered the mill, wringer washing machine, ice cream maker and others you had on display at Heritage Day 2023. I'm sure it brought back special memories to many there. To the youngsters or maybe a few grown-ups that had never seen anything like it, you shared with them a piece of their heritage, which is what the day is all about. Hope to see you next year!

For the many years of dedicating your 1st Saturday in October, of making the introductions and thank you's, the filming and picture taking of the event that will forever be shared as memories, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Thank you to all the wonderful families that make the horse and wagon rides and the stagecoach rides possible. Their skill at driving their teams as well as the beautiful animals make it such a majestic site to see them pull around the winding roads around the property. We would like to thank everyone that got the chance to attend our 2023 Heritage Day Saturday. With the season changing in the air, it was a wonderful day of smiling faces of new and old friends and family. There was a nip in the air for the morning, but the sunshine brought the warmth to the day. If anyone has any pictures they would like to share, we would love to see them. Hope to see everyone next year!
