The Cape Meares Lighthouse and Gift Shop reopens June 4, State Parks Day, following a two-year closure. This "petite" lighthouse--possibly the shortest on the Oregon Coast--opens daily 11 a.m.-5 p.m. this summer. Stop and chat with volunteers stationed at the base of the tower, ask questions and learn about the lighthouse history. They have stories to tell! Lighthouse tower tours remain canceled to protect the stability of the first-order Fresnel lens.
