Just a quick promo for Rocktoberfest with Neil at Bob FM, had a good opportunity to talk about the bands, history and event in general.

One thing that came up that people may not know is that Rocktoberfest supports the Rockford Fire Department and Fire Auxiliary, as well as the Rockford Area historical Society. The F.D. Auxiliary sells wristbands for beers, holds a 50/50 raffle and sells food at the event, with all proceeds raised directly supporting the Rockford Fire Fighters and Fire Department. The Rockford Area Historical Society runs the Beer Garden, with all proceeds supporting their efforts to preserve and share the history of the Rockford Area.

Stop on out this Saturday and party for a cause! 4 Bands, 2 Stages, 1 heck of a free community concert that supports our Firefighters and helps preserve and share Rockford History!

I know it is short notice, but if you are free and interested, we have the Delano 4th of July Parade. Meet at 10:30am. Please wear your WTA shirt, TKD pants, and belt. Bring water and sun screen. Let me know if you can make it.

Rebuilding Social Skills During the Summer

There’s no doubt that children’s social skills have become rusty over the past year and not progressed as they should have. With more limited interactions than usual, children have experienced adverse effects on their social development. And while many children have had the opportunity to engage in some school setting and/or activity, there were still restrictions on what type of interactions they could have. Now, as reopening efforts continue, it’s imperative we use the summer to help children regain lost social skills and build new ones. This will give them more social confidence when returning to school.

The World Taekwondo Academy is now enrolling ages 3 and up.

Enroll now and enjoy 2 weeks and a uniform for FREE.

We will have BBC weapons at 5:30pm, then those that would like to be on our BBC weapons team can stay 6:00-6:15pm. We are starting practices to see who is interested being apart of our team. The team will formally start in April. Weapons team is different than BBC weapons. You will get to learn new advance tricks, learn how to compete, and specialize in different weapons of you choice.
