I have studied the golf swing in general since I was 13 years old. I was fortunate enough to have received a full scholarship to a NCAA Division I school in the L.A. area in 1992. I have competed in Junior golf and at the college level with some of the top players on the PGA Tour. My teaching philosophy consists Mostly of a few opinions and that I have formed from years of experience. First, pe
ople aren't better at the game of golf for basically one reason, They don't really know what they are doing! Second, junior golfers should learn the game from the putting green back to the tee box rather than simply being taught the full swing and trying to figure the other aspects of the game later. Senior golfers, both men and ladies should play golf with a closed stance. Female golfers need to always try to hit down on the ball and take more and larger divots. A golf swing that drives the ball great is almost guaranteed not to hit great wedge shots. Finally, golf played at the highest level is more like art than science. All lessons are all held at Whitney Oaks Golf Club in Rocklin CA at the back of the driving range. This course has a fantastic practice facility at the back of the driving range and is available only to the golf instructors and their students. I only give private lessons, and they last either half an hour or an hour. The cost is $45.00 for a half and $90.00 for an hour. I don't provide clinics because I don't believe the student gets much out of them and they would be better off taking their $15.00 and buying Ben Hogans book on fundamentals than spending time at a clinic where they aren't going to really get that much individual attention. I do provide on course playing lessons when the need arises. If you are interested in booking a lesson please contact me at the phone number or email provided on this FB page.
