Broken Promise

Yesterday I stated that I'd post one or two more photos from Monday's epic sunrise. Who knew we'd get another drama queen the next day too, but, we did. On top of that we had another windless start to the day, so the reflections were abundant.

I put the drone down really low for this one and still had to stitch two images together to capture the full morning glory. Sunrises and sunsets like this are just one of the reasons why folks flock to Rockport.....

Wild Ride

Yesterday morning at sunrise, here in Rockport, was kind of a wild ride. First off, it stayed dark much longer than usual due to ominous storm clouds. It would rain, it would quit, it would rain, it would quit. Glimpses of color in the northeast sky but nothing to "write home to Mother about". Then it all changed!

Due east, the sky was suddenly what you are seeing in today's post. Verging on an electric orange suddenly poked through the storm clouds. Because there was no wind the reflections on the water were fabulous. It made every trip back and forth to the car way worth it. It was a "ya just never know" kinda sunrise.....

A Cozy, Relaxed Place!
This rental is in a very central and convenient part of Rockport, a quiet neighborhood that's easy to navigate. Not even a 5 minute drive to the beach. We came for a family reunion and rented this for the evenings. There were plenty of comfortable spots to sleep, the rooms were large and easily fit 10 people for card games and chats. The private backyard is a big plus, along with a large communal picnic table in the shade. Super clean, fresh linens, and the owners were well prepared for us. Totally recommend if you need something easy and relaxing for your beach trip.

We just got back with our first family trip and I couldn't have picked a better place!! I honestly feel like the pictures don't even capture exactly how much room you actually have. We were so excited that we could bar-b-que, we were happy how much space the kids have to run, and the washer and dryer was a little bonus. Hosts are amazing they reply within great time, and really worked with us with an issue that came up with our trip (unrelated to Airbnb). great location, Walmart/Heb just down the street as well as the beach!! we recommended this place 100%!!!

We got our first VRBO review. It brought tears to my eyes especially remembering all of the issues we all dealt with during the storms.

Okay where to start... There was a storm the night we were driving down. The landlord constantly sent us updates to make sure we got there safely. The location was perfect, the backyard was great for our dogs and when we walked inside we were pleasantly surprised at how much bigger it actually was than it appears in the pictures. We ran into a couple issues because of the storm and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. I loved the living room with the bunk beds for the all the kids to play games and hang out, plus they had their own bathroom. There was a great eating area off the kitchen (which had been nicely remodeled) where we could all hang out and play games. The master bedroom was huge, and the on-suit was fantastic. It was decorated very nicely & beachy; everything was very clean. They had thought of every thing we could have needed including a washer and dryer, BBQ, and large picnic table on the covered porch. We go on vacations quite a bit and rent homes, but this was one of the best experiences we had because of the the layout, location and the incredible communication and service. I would highly recommend this for a family,! We will be returning again next year

The Yellow Beach House was perfect for our family. It was very spacious, clean, close to the beach, and had a nice backyard for my grandson to run around in. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely book again for our next trip to the beach.
