Broken Promise

Yesterday I stated that I'd post one or two more photos from Monday's epic sunrise. Who knew we'd get another drama queen the next day too, but, we did. On top of that we had another windless start to the day, so the reflections were abundant.

I put the drone down really low for this one and still had to stitch two images together to capture the full morning glory. Sunrises and sunsets like this are just one of the reasons why folks flock to Rockport.....

Wild Ride

Yesterday morning at sunrise, here in Rockport, was kind of a wild ride. First off, it stayed dark much longer than usual due to ominous storm clouds. It would rain, it would quit, it would rain, it would quit. Glimpses of color in the northeast sky but nothing to "write home to Mother about". Then it all changed!

Due east, the sky was suddenly what you are seeing in today's post. Verging on an electric orange suddenly poked through the storm clouds. Because there was no wind the reflections on the water were fabulous. It made every trip back and forth to the car way worth it. It was a "ya just never know" kinda sunrise.....

A Cozy, Relaxed Place!
This rental is in a very central and convenient part of Rockport, a quiet neighborhood that's easy to navigate. Not even a 5 minute drive to the beach. We came for a family reunion and rented this for the evenings. There were plenty of comfortable spots to sleep, the rooms were large and easily fit 10 people for card games and chats. The private backyard is a big plus, along with a large communal picnic table in the shade. Super clean, fresh linens, and the owners were well prepared for us. Totally recommend if you need something easy and relaxing for your beach trip.
