Did you know that the Outer Banks is home to the largest protected maritime forest on the east coast?

Today is National Take a Hike Day! As much as we love a long walk on the beach, Cape Hatteras National Seashore also has nature trails to explore. Just across from the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, the Buxton Woods Nature trail is a ¾ mile interpretive trail loop. For those looking for a full day hike, the Open Ponds trail is a 4.4 mile trail starting at the British Sailors Cemetery and ending at the Frisco Campground. There's over 3,000 protected acres in Buxton Woods, with many other trails located in this maritime forest.

The sun is rising on a new vacation season! To those that have already booked with us, we are excited to welcome you for the 2021 season. We were very busy over the off-season and the house has a lot of new and improved upgrades and renovations. We think you’ll find the house better than ever before. We still have a week available in April (10-17) and then we are booked up until October 2nd. Both April and October are great times to be at the beach in Rodanthe. Cost is lower and weather is nice and usually pretty warm! But don’t wait because these will most likely book up too! Thanks and we look forward to making 2021 the best year yet and leave you Forever Dreaming of your next stay with us!
