After Bob died, Jay Haneckow owned and operated The Pole Barn for many years. Although he doesn't live there any longer, Jay still owns the place.

The Pole Barn is located off of Birchwood Dr. (The Old State Park Road) on Birchwood Trail and was built by Bob Haneckow some time ago on 20 acres of wooded land. Jay sold half of the land to his younger brother Jerome Haneckow but the barn still sits on 10 acres of wooded land. The Pole Barn has a small living area with a pot belly wood heater. There is no running water. It is a great place for m

embers of the family to get away from everything, enjoy some nature and a perfect place to reminisce.
