Did you know that Helen Keller once visited the Berry Schools? In 1931, she wrote a letter to Martha Berry saying, "I have the happiest memory of my visit to your school. The thought of those bright faces has been like sunshine all through the years in my dark world." Among her many other accomplishments, Helen Keller was an author, disability rights advocate, political activist, and the first deafblind person in the United States to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.
