Not All Who Wander, Are Lost.....
Continuing to build upon my passion for travel, exploration and service to all mankind I embarked on a career as a Travel Counselor in 2015, fulfilling a life-long dream. I joined the Travel Institute, enrolled in the Travel Leaders of Tomorrow Program, gained valuable hands on experience working for one of the nation’s largest leisure tour operators (200+ destinations), began to sell travel through my Host Agency, Nexion part time and successfully completed the Travel Agent Proficiency Exam. I also became a member of the American Society of Travel Agent’s (ASTA) Young Professional Society and maintain full membership as an Independent Contractor to date.
Previously Associate Director of Admissions at Long Island University (LIU), I focused on admissions, enrollment management and recruitment domestic and international for a unique experiential based interdisciplinary studies degree program requiring study abroad in a number of countries for seven consecutive semesters (LIU Global)! As an undergraduate at LIU I was fortunate enough to study with this same program at the European Centre, then called Friends World (Spring 1996). My travels as an LIU student and administrator (15 years) have taken me to England, France, Poland, Spain, Morocco, Gibraltar, Canada, and Costa Rica as well as 36 states + our nationals capital, Washington, D.C.! In addition, my own independent travels span 23 countries on 3 continents. My life’s work is to see as much of the world as I possibly can, share those experiences and help others do the same!
In 2017 I took a leap of faith and chose to devote myself to this field entirely. Travel by Alyssa provides unique, custom travel experiences, domestic and international, focused on destination education, experiential travel, client needs and best value. Areas of specialization include couples, families and group special occassion travel throughout the U.S., Costa Rica, Europe, the Caribbean and Mexico!
