I will be having a 3 level fusion in my neck tomorrow.
Unfortunately, that means I will be in a neck brace for 6 weeks and my teens will be cooking. They’re comfortable with the brittles, but the other items aren’t guaranteed.

I was able to make up 2 batches of Silk Divinity for a special order tonight. In this South East Texas humidity that usually means cranking down the A/C at 2 am during a cold front!

For those not familiar, Divinity Silk uses a process I developed a pulling the oils from the pecans so the flavor is their without the bits 😊

Many of you likely aren’t aware, but I’ve recently had some health issues come up and I will be needing surgery. Basically, I will be having a 3 level fusion in my neck - likely during the candy season 😫 We don’t expect the fusion in my lower back until next year.
Thankfully, my teens are stepping up in a big way and I don’t think this will affect shows or orders. I will still be involved, just not as much standing and the like.
With that in mind, pre-orders will be very helpful this year so I can plan things out around recovery.

The temps are dropping and the kitchen’s Poppin’

If you know me personally, you likely know I’ve been hit with some major back issues over the last 2 months. I honestly wasn’t sure how much I could do this year, but my kids are stepping up - and I’m so proud!
I will still be doing the cooking, but the kids will be taking over most of the pouring, jarring, and sealing. They’ve done it all in the past, but this year their roll will be much more critical for our success.
