This has been in the works for years, and the rollout has been delayed, but early next year, Americans heading to Europe will need to have an ETIAS (authorization to travel) in order to travel to over 30 countries. How does it work?
▪️you will go online to fill out the form
▪️you will have to answer personal questions including your parents’ names, occupation and any criminal convictions
▪️pay a small fee of 7€ (about $8)
▪️it may take 4 days to receive an authorization but could take up to 14 days to process
▪️we recommend you apply 30 days prior to travel
▪️your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return travel date
▪️the authorization to travel is tied to your passport and will be good for three years, or until your passport expires
▪️the start date has not been confirmed but we expect sometime in January 2024

The new program requires an online application and a minor fee, and is required for all travelers regardless of their age.

Puffins are one of the most recognizable birds of the North. Fun facts about these adorable birds:
1. They are quite small and weigh about the same as a can of soda
2. They mate for life and produce one egg per year. The parents take turns caring for the egg and puffling.
3. They spend most of their lives out at sea, and return to land during breeding season
4. 60 percent of the world’s puffin population can be found in Iceland between April and August.
5. Puffins are one of the few species that can hold several fish in their beaks at the same time.
