Day 6 on the AV1. Some good views, although the weather put a little damper on things, and had a great meal at Malga Pramper! Did you know a lot of the local rifugios and farms make their own grappa?

Day 4 - Short but sweet at 8 miles! A hard climb to Forcella di Giau, but after that, pretty easy terrain. Mount Pelmo keeps you company for most of the day :)

2nd Day on the AV1. Snow begins at about 8,200 feet nearing the top of the hike at Lagazuoi. Still, the snow was patchy and no spikes were needed. Epic day on the trail!

We’re off on the Alta Via 1! First day hiking from Lago Di Braies to Pederu. No snow on this stage at all. Great conditions for hiking in the Alps in the early season. Tomorrow we hike to Lagazoui, which we expect to find a fair bit of snow. Stay tuned….
