Fun facts Friday about a mule.
A mule has 63 Chromosomes.
A horse has 64 Chromosomes.
A donkey has 62 Chromosomes.
A female mule is called a ( Molly )
A male mule is called a ( John )
Mules have thicker skin than a horse so less likely to over heat.
Mules eat less than a horse.
A John mule needs to be castrated even tho he can't reproduce.
In most cases Mules don't need shoes if their feet are on a regular trimming program.
The 3 bell haircut on the tail of a mule symbols that the mule should Ride, Pack and Drive.
I have no idea why ppl shave the entire head and neck... lol
