DID YOU KNOW that on this date, October 31, 1939, The Hollywood Tower Hotel was struck by lightning?! Multiple hotel guests were riding in an elevator when the lightning bolt struck the building. Once power was restored to the hotel and the elevator doors were finally opened, rescue workers and hotel employees were stunned to discover that those inside the elevator had vanished without a trace!

The hotel was closed the following day and never reopened to the public. Those guests who disappeared that day have never resurfaced, and the investigation is apparently still open and ongoing.

Today, I have been married to my husband for 12 years!! So in honor of this special day, I wanted to talk about doing Disney as a couple 🥰🥰

Here are a few ideas of things to do (other than just riding the rides of course!!):

- Eat and Drink around the World - this can be a lot of fun for an Epcot day or night. You can stop at each country and try something new (even share it so you don’t get full before you make it all the way around).

- Go bowling or play mini golf - you can go bowling and have dinner over at Disney Springs at Splitsville Luxury Lanes or play mini golf at one of two locations: Fantasia Gardens and Fairways or Winter Summerland.

- Check out the Boardwalk - you can walk along the Boardwalk at night to check out one of the wonderful dining options like Trattoria al Forno, have a drink at AbracadaBar, take in music or dancing at JellyRolls or Atlantic Dance Hall, or even rent a surrey bike and pedal around the Boardwalk. There are also street performers who come out at night to showcase fun talents! There may even be one of those photo booths where you can take 4 silly photos and it prints it out in a strip for you!

- Check out Disney Springs - this place has a lot of cool spots to check out for shopping, dining, live music and even a movie theater. Raglan Road can be a fun and upbeat option for dinner and entertainment together, or there are quieter, more romantic options like Wine Bar George. While at Disney Springs, you can also try the Aerophile balloon ride or the Amphicars!

- Monorail Crawl - you can take the monorail to each monorail resort and try a few different restaurants. You could even do appetizers at one resort, dinner at the next, and dessert at the last (or dessert at all of them if you want)!

- Just have fun!

There are so many things you can do as a couple at Walt Disney World! Whether you just want to ride whatever you want together in the parks, try one of these options or do something totally different, you can have a wonderfully magical time with your significant other at this magical place!

I get asked this question a lot - what age is the best to take a child to Disney?

My answer - whenever you feel comfortable! Our son has been going since he was 2.5. Our daughter has been going since she had just turned one!

Under 3 is free - they don’t need a ticket and they can eat off of your plate at table service restaurants!

They can ride any ride without a height restriction (which is actually quite a few)!

They may not remember those times you went when they were that young, but you will 🙂

Let’s talk about a Moderate Resort today - Caribbean Beach Resort!

There are so many great things to talk about with this hotel!

For one, it’s in the Moderate level of resorts, which means a little nicer accommodations than standard Value rooms, more dining options like a table service restaurant vs just quick service options at Value, and a little more luxurious than a Value resort. The Moderates usually have slightly more enhanced pool and water recreation areas like water slides and splash pads.

This resort offers Sebastian’s Bistro - a wonderful family style table service option with tastes of the Caribbean! There are also Quick service options as well as Banana Cabana Pool Bar that offers delicious drinks and yummy food too!

The Fuentes Del Morro pool has 2 good sized water slides plus a smaller play area with mini slides! There are other leisure pools at this resort as well!

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at Magic Kingdom is such a cute ride for all ages!

My daughter absolutely loved the queue line - they had so many spots to play on the way to the ride!

Is this a must do for you?
