🚁 Cross-Country Journey Complete! From Coast to Coast and Back Again 🌍✨

After days of incredible landscapes, epic stops, and unforgettable views, we wrapped up our cross-country journey with a final few highlights. We flew over the beautiful Lake Erie in Ohio, right near the Canadian border with Toronto, capturing one last stunning look at the water below. 🌊🇨🇦

Our last fuel stop was in Wilkes-Barre, PA, before finally making it back to Westchester, bringing our coast-to-coast adventure full circle. Each stop, from the vast plains and historic airports to the vibrant autumn colors and serene waters, reminded us of the beauty of exploring by air.

🚁 Fuel Stop Journey: Frederick, OK to Lawrenceville, IL 🛢️🌍

Our cross-country adventure brought us to two memorable fuel stops, each with its own unique charm and history!

Frederick, OK – Surrounded by the vast, open plains of Oklahoma, we touched down for a quick refuel under the endless blue skies. Just us, our helicopter, and the expansive horizon! Stops like this remind us of the beauty in these quiet, remote places, where it feels like the world stretches on forever. 🌾✨

Lawrenceville, IL – Right on the Illinois-Indiana border, we found ourselves at the historic Lawrenceville-Vincennes Airport, a WWII-era gem. The weathered concrete, cloudy skies, and vintage fuel truck transported us back in time, capturing the spirit of aviation history. It’s incredible to think of the pilots who once walked these grounds during WWII. 🌥️✈️

From Oklahoma, through Missouri and Illinois, all the way to Indiana, the views were absolutely breathtaking. 🌿🌾 The land below shifted from rugged plains to lush, golden fields as we flew through changing weather and clear skies. The rolling hills, rivers, and farmlands stretching as far as the eye can see made for an unforgettable experience! 🚁

Our latest stop brought us to Deming, NM, literally in the middle of nowhere! 😅 We couldn’t help but laugh at the vintage fuel truck that looked like it came straight out of Ghostbusters! 👻🚐 The oldest fuel truck ever, but it got the job done. Now we’re all fueled up and heading to Texas! 🤠

In 2002, former investment banker Javier Diaz founded Wings Air Helicopters. As an experienced pilot he wanted to create a company that would stand above the rest and meet aviation needs for the sheer pleasure and beauty of airborne travel. Wings Air Helicopters was the first helicopter charter company to be based out of Westchester County Airport (KHPN) in White Plains, NY. This unique area just outside of New York City gives us access to metropolitan attractions as well as undiscovered local gems. We are avid advocates of airborne travel, and therefore, flying is not merely an occupation, but a passion of our company. Do you share our passion?
