More before and afters because the redecorating continues! These two bedrooms are connected like a suite, also known as “railroad-style.” It’s common in old town St Augustine and makes for a fun children’s suite, family suite, or as seperate bedrooms.
Both bedrooms have blackout shades and at night you’ll hear the fountain outside. Small details like a glass sea urchin nightlight and twinkle lights in a jar bring the magic of Summer indoors.

Here’s a peak into the dining room transformation…in reverse. 3 different layers of flooring removed and some tile design work to balance this large combined kitchen dining area.
It’s so bright and welcoming now. The light wood cabinets finally pop.

The thing about renovations is when one room looks nice and new, the other rooms suddenly need a facelift too. A guest unfortunately left our cream sofa in a sad state so we changed up some colors and textures.
The antique wall sconce with the rich velvet is my favorite detail. The rug was a lucky last minute find to bring it all together.

Some much needed updates graced our historic home this Summer! We wanted something fun but timeless. With Tommy Bahama vibes, marble shower, and basket weave marble floor (not to mention all new everything else), I think we got it right.
If you haven’t visited yet, come enjoy the new updates. And of course if you have stayed before, come visit us again!

Dr MLK Jr came to St Augustine, Florida in an attempt to drive national change in civil rights. Today, you can tour historic Lincolnville and see to this day how his story unfolded. Many of the homes here housed Dr MLK Jr as he never stayed in any house twice to evade authorities.
Plaques in front of churches, schools, houses, and parks divulge details of this time in the already historic town. A more thorough walking tour can be found at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center.
