Who Has Been to "SPOOK HILL" ☠️🎃
The mystery of Spook Hill has fascinated generations. Cars parked at the bottom of the hill will defy gravity and seemingly roll uphill. This Hill in Lake Wales, Florida is a magnetic hill or “gravity hill.” Gravity hills can be found all over the world, and continue to spur folklore and curiosity as cars appear to roll up hill when placed in neutral. Not only is it one of the country’s oldest known gravity hills, it is also the only known magnetic hill in the state of Florida. In April of 2019, Spook Hill was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

MEET THE AUTHOR: Dr. Thomas Graham! As part of our continuing Meet the Author Book Signing Events, we proudly present renowned local author & historian Dr. Thomas Graham during this coming First Friday Art Walk on Nov 3rd, from 5-8pm. Dr. Graham was a professor at Flagler College for over 40 years and a highly respected authority on the life of Henry Flagler.

Now retired, he is the author of sixteen books; from 'Henry Flagler's St. Augustine' to his most recent 'Valiant Soldiers, St. Augustine's Men of Color in the Age of Civil War and Reconstruction". He also authored 'Silent Films in St. Augustine' as well as four books and numerous articles on model kits and slot cars.

Dr. Graham will be signing his books in the Tour St. Augustine lobby gift shop. Light refreshments will be provided, and Henry Flagler himself may even stop by himself in person for this event! 4 Granada Street, across from the Casa Monica and Lightner Museum… don’t miss your chance to meet this local legend!
