St. Johns County will host a rescheduled open house for the planned SJC Beaches Tortuga Beach Walkover. This project would provide a new beach access point for Tortuga Beach, located at 7740 A1A S., St. Augustine. St. Johns County Parks and Recreation and St. Johns County Public Works staff will be available to answer questions and share details about the project.

St Augustine is expected to see severe weather for at least two days, Wednesday and Thursday. Sustained winds of over 30 mph with gusts to 60 for over 48 hours will cause as much damage as a hurricane.

Check your mooring lines for movement at the ball tether and on deck. No movement then no chaffing! The boat here chaffed through it's mooring line on deck. It's the most common issue

If you are at anchor, go to a mooring ball. They have never failed us as far as breakage is concerned.

If you stay at anchor, lay out at least 200 feet of scope and all the weight you have.
