Ripley’s in St Augustine is gearing up for our 2024 Educator Appreciation days! All K-12 staff, homeschool educators, and college / university staff are FREE to Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum, The Red Train Tours, and Bayfront Mini Golf, and their guests receive 50% off general admission tickets! These deals run from September 3rd - October 20th. To receive the discount, just show your most recent pay stub and a matching photo ID at the ticket window. It is fine if it is on your phone as long as the names match your ID. Homeschool families can get one parent in as the educator and can show their association card or letter of intent at the ticket window. We are making some improvements at Bayfront Mini Golf. While we work, we want you to come play! Bayfront Mini Golf will be $5 per person for ages 4 and up through the middle of April! Come enjoy the scenic views, check out the Nao Trinidad and enjoy some family fun!

The Nao Trinidad is now in port at the St Augustine Municipal Marina! The Nao Trinidad is a replica of Magellan’s flagship and will be in port until sometime in April. Tours are given daily until 7:00 pm and are available for purchase at Bayfront Mini Golf located at 111 Avenida Menendez by the base of the Bridge of Lions. Bayfront Mini golf is open Sunday - Friday from noon until 8 pm and noon - 9 pm on Saturdays. Ship tickets are $15 for ages 10 and up, $5 for ages 5-10 and children under 5 are free.

This week, December 26 through December 30 the Nights of Lights shuttle will run from 1:00pm to 11:00pm!

🚗 For the five days following Christmas the shuttle will only be available at the Broudy's Lot (corner of US 1 & King Street)

What does it take to be a St Augustine tour guide? Well, besides the patience of a Saint, it takes commitment, a love of history and of the city, a willingness to never stop learning, the skills of a NASCAR driver, the ability to go completely off the cuff when held up in traffic, an insane tolerance to heat combined with the ability to withstand cold and rain, outstanding guest service skills, several different licenses and permits and the ability to deliver all of it with a sense of humor and a smile. The wife of one of our past drivers just brought me his study and research materials. It is amazing when you think about what these folks do to show off our city!

Check out our train driver Nick and his craft business “Dock Works” featured outside of the new Ancient City Market located at 3 Cordova Street tomorrow for the First Friday Art walk. Nick is a talented driver and a talented artist featuring hand made indoor / outdoor specialty items with that “Beachy” feel. Come check it out tomorrow from 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm!

Our driver was Alex, and my God what a majestic looking man he is. His personality matched his appearance...mesmerizing. At first I thought it was Chef Guy Fieri, just leaner and more tone version. Let me tell this man Alex was COOKING, and his main ingredient was knowledge. There's the fountain of youth, which is cool I guess. Then there's the fountain of Handsome Alex, which quenches your thirst for knowledge. I will warn you though, Alex's majestic hair, flowing in the wind, bronze skin, well built frame, may distract you from the sights. My man was basically kissed by the sun . Seriously though, my girlfriend and I had a great time, Alex is a great tour guide and I highly recommend him to anyone else for future rides.

Ripley’s Red Train Tours start at one of the most beautiful buildings in St Augustine - our very own Ripley’s Believe It or Not castle. Bathrooms are easily accessible from the boarding area and there is plenty of AC while you wait in the Cargo Hold Gift Shop. After you pull out, you will wind your way through our gorgeous gardens viewing amazing sculptures like an exact replica of Michaelangelo’s Statue of David and King Kang and Li Chi - the Guardians of Heaven statues that adorn our entrance. After departing Ripley’s, you will enjoy a 7.5 mile fully narrated tour and cooling breezes off Matanzas Bay as our trains wind you through our narrow streets and through the colorful history of our charming city. The tour takes about 60 minutes, but the experience lasts a lifetime. You can book your tour in person at Ripley’s, or, you can reserve your seat online at www.ripleys.com/staugustine.
