A few tips for maximizing your enjoyment of St Augustine’s Nights of Lights tours on the Red Train.
* Plan ahead! Traffic can be very heavy on weekends and during school breaks so give yourself plenty of time to get here and to find parking.
* Familiarize yourself with all of your parking options. We do have a large lot at Ripley’s for our guests. It is paid parking (As is most of the city) and it is first come, first serve. We do have the city parking garage across the street, there are a number of private lots that have paid parking and on several of the very busy days, the city offers a free park and ride shuttle. (see photo) Ripley’s also has additional paid parking under our large sign in the grass lot at the corner of US 1 and W. Castillo, and at 170 San Marco Ave.
* Watch the weather. If it is cold, feel free to bring a blanket to keep warm on your tour!
* Ripley’s is open late Fridays and Saturdays as well as the last week of December if you are looking for some indoor family fun after seeing the lights.
* Ripley’s also hosts free movies in the gardens nightly at 6 pm through December!
* Bring your holiday cheer and patience, give yourself plenty of time to get to your activities and find parking, and you will have a blast. It is absolutely beautiful this time of year.
