Next month, LDWF will be offering 𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 at our field offices. Trip ticket staff will also be on hand to assist seafood dealers with trip ticket training, questions, and orders (trip tickets will not be available on-site). This service is designed to make licensing and trip ticket support more accessible without needing to drive to Baton Rouge!

National Hurricane Center has now dropped odds of formation to a LOW, 30%. We love to see it! System remains disorganized/broad, and any development would be slow to occur.

Southeast Louisiana & south Mississippi will see scattered rain activity Thursday-Saturday. Few localized downpours likely.

Late weekend-early next week this disturbance will generally be steered towards the Florida peninsula as less muggy/slightly cooler air moves towards the central Gulf Coast by Tuesday-Wednesday.

Southeast Louisiana needs to now be prepared for a direct hit on Wednesday from Hurricane Francine. Guidance is now bringing the core of the storm into the New Orleans metro area as seen by the graphic below. The graphic below is for Wednesday at 6pm.

The risk for more widespread power disruptions is increasing. In addition, flooding rains will spread into the area beginning tonight. The good news is that this will be over after Wednesday. Stay safe and help each other out. -David
