Bethlehem Lutheran Early Childhood Center - Lead Teacher
POSITION SUMMARY: Teacher of Bethlehem Early Childhood Center (ECC) is responsible for providing leadership in the classroom
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
• Monitor and document Developmental progress of all children in your classroom
• Conduct conferences with all families twice a year
•Work with Assistant Teacher if ratio applies
• Provide a safe environment following all established program policies
• Follow established curriculum
• Plan, supervise and implement all aspects of the classroom
• Consider individual cultural and socio-economic needs of families
• Work with staff in curriculum management and planning
• Demonstrate understanding of appropriate behavior guidance practices
• Set-up and maintain appropriate classroom environment to meet the needs of age group served
• Provide positive experience for children and families
Additional Duties
• Attend required training and staff meetings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Meet Rule 3 Teacher eligible licensing requirements
• Current pediatric CPR and First Aid preferred
• Completion of a successful background check
HOURS: Full-Time Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30 OR will consider part time morning for the right candidate.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Salary is negotiable, commensurate with training and experience. This is a benefits eligible position. The Bethlehem Lutheran Church Personnel Policies describe the benefits offered in more detail. Examples of benefits offered are: health insurance, continuing education, long-term disability insurance, paid vacation and sick time.

Today our preschoolers traveled to Catholic Charities to drop off the food donations they've been collecting from their families and congregation members. The official weight was... 349 pounds of food! A BIG thank you to Eric (a former Bethlehem preschooler) at Catholic Charities for showing us the scale to weigh food, how they fill orders for people in need and the biggest freezer we've ever seen! It was a great experience. We would also like to THANK everyone who supported this project and donated food.

Sincere thanks to the members of St. Cloud Fire Department Station 2 for bringing Engine 2 to us and teaching our preschoolers about fire safety. With kindness and patience, the firefighters showed us the tools and uniforms they use to help them fight fires and keep us safe! We are grateful for their time!

This past winter, congregation member and friend to the preschool, Ann, asked if we wanted to try Winter & Spring Sowing. We did and started collecting milk jugs, seeds, and dirt. In March we planted flower seeds and in April vegetable seeds. These past couple of weeks we were able to transfer the plants to our garden!

Experiment and explore are always on the agenda at preschool... This winter our church friend Ann asked if we wanted to try Winter & Spring Sowing. Our answer was yes please! We started by collecting milk jugs, dirt and seeds and planned 2 planting days. In March we planted flower seeds and in April vegetable seeds. We have patiently waited as they sat outside in our snowy winter weather and finally, we spy some sprouts!
