The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is expanding!! The Ministry of Magic will be found in Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe.

It will join Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. I for one, can’t wait. Our experience with Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley were some of our favorites!!

Our final day!

We decided to change up this morning and started at Universal Studios 🎬

First stop was across the park to Diagon Alley to hit up the final Wizarding World ride: Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts. We followed up the ride with more magic wand fun. 🧙🏼‍♀️🪄

After we got our fill of Diagon Alley we did these attractions:

🎡The Simpsons Ride
Kang & Kodos’ Twirl ‘n’ Hurl
🍩A donut stop at Lard Lad’s
Saw Doc Brown near Central Park
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
Met a minion
🎄Admired the Holiday Tree
🚕Race Through New York starring Jimmy Fallon
Treated the boys to the Vector Freeze Ray Pop before heading to Islands of Adventure.

Here we enjoyed:
🦖Camp Jurassic (the boys really loved this)
🚤Jurassic Park River Adventure
🦅Flight of the Hippogriff (for like the 10th time!)
🧙‍♂️Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
🧹Lunch at Three Broom Sticks that included a frozen Butterbeer
🎄Enjoyed The Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular

After the Grinchmas show, we headed to the hotel for some swimming, dinner and shakes! 🍦

Day 2: ⏰Early morning entry to Islands of Adventure.

Andy rode what he calls, the best theme park thrill ride ever!!! (He rode back to back with no wait)-
🦖Jurassic World VelociCoaster has two intense launches & four inversions!!
🪄The boys and I spent some time wandering around Hogsmeade with ease!

🍺We also grabbed a hot butterbeer- so yummy!!

Other attractions for this day include
🦅Flight of the Hippogriff
🚋The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride
🦍Skull Island: Reign of Kong
🦕Camp Jurassic- a fun play area for kids to explore
💪🏼The Incredible Hulk Coaster

Then we bounced on over Universal Studios for:
💥Villain-con Minon Blast
🤖Transformers: The Ride 3D
🎡The Simpsons Ride
🍔Grabbed lunch on Fast Food Blvd for a Krusty Burger and a Flamin’ Moe
👽Men in Black - Alien Attack
🧙🏼‍♀️Diagon Alley for more fun with our wands. Here we wandered into Nocturne Alley and this was so cool and right out of the books!
🍔🚘Fast and Furious- Supercharged

We ended our day back in Islands of Adventure where we grabbed dinner at Green Eggs and Ham. Enjoyed The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts light show and one last ride on Hippogriff.

Happy Friday Eve!!

Our first full day at Universal Orlando:

🏨One special perk of staying in a hotel on Universal property is early admission into the park of that day. Hotel guests can get in one hour prior to others not staying on property. We took advantage of this on our first day!!

🎢Like true theme-park goers, we rope dropped Islands of Adventure! This allowed us to get in line to ride the most popular thrill ride: Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure!

Getting to the park early also gave us an opportunity to explore Hogsmeade in the Wizarding World 🧙🏼‍♀️One of our favorite lands!

Other attractions we were able to enjoy included:
🦅Flight of the Hippogriff- several times!
🧹Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
🐱The Cat in the Hat
🎠Caro-Seuss-el
🕷️The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

After a quick re-fuel with a Cinnabon, we headed to Universal Studios! Here we experienced:

🦄Despicable Me Minion Mayhem
🗿Revenge of the Mummy
💵Exchanged Muggle money at Gringotts Money Exchange
🪄Ollivanders Wand Shop in Diagon Alley
🌎E.T. Adventure

We wrapped up a fun-filled day with a front row seat to Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s (this was a family favorite!) 🎄🎅🏼

Hello friends!!!

My family recently escaped to Universal Orlando for a few days of fun in the sun! ☀️

Follow along as I share our daily experiences and how we were able to ride all the rides we wanted to at least once! Bonus: the parks and hotels are all decorated for Christmas! 🎄

We arrived early afternoon so we could scope out our hotel and visit CityWalk for a few hours. ✈️

🏨 Our hotel: Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort - a fun throwback to the 50s!

I can’t recommend this resort enough! We stayed here last spring and it was fantastic! Great theming, fair pricing, conveniently located around the Epcot/ Hollywood Studios area and the best part hands down is access to the Skyliner!

The countdown has begun! In 14 days my family and I will be at Universal Orlando for our first holiday trip at the parks. While we can’t wait to experience all the thrills and excitement, we are most excited to see all the holiday decorations and check out the holiday shows and parade!
