It has been confirmed that it’s not Pinky returning but our refuge has a new flamingo! I had the chance to take .petryk out to capture these so he could determine if this bird was pinky or not! We were able to get just a few yards from it, and even got to hear it call out a few time! 📸: .petryk

Final day, A slab for the final fish! It’s been a blast through this very short season! Huge thanks to everyone for shuffling around and keeping these trips! We got it done and it’s been an awesome time! Text pics if you have any!

Meet Brett, a little over 2 years ago Brett was launching his hobie cat to go sailing for the day! While launching he suffered a stroke, his recovery battle has prevented him from being able to get on the water since. Well today I had the honor of taking Brett and Doris out during the helping hands event. While fishing Brett was talking to me about his love for the water and his love for sailing, during a short pause Brett broke down in tears. While watching him go through the emotions of being on the water again it reminded me why we do what we do. It hit home in my heart! As guides we are some of the most fortunate people on earth, we get to do what we love day in and day out. We have the blessing of our office being in heaven, a place where people spend all week, all year, or even years working to experience for just a short time. It’s our responsibility to give the best experience we possibly can whether is paid trips or donating your time to events such as this! Never take life for granted, it could be stripped from you in seconds! Thank you Brett for giving me the chance to share your first time back out!
