Wise Blue Yonder is on the move again! This trip takes us to the US Virgin Islands and St John in particular! Gorgeous island, crystal blue waters and some promising places for people with limited mobility. Shoutout to Trunk Bay for running a national park that was relatively easy to navigate with limited walking. The pathways are paved and smooth. Restrooms are close to the beach area. There are two handicap parking spaces, which you definitely want to grab if you can because parking is tricky. Sand is relatively flat for a beach - beautiful day with beautiful friends from my Alma mater College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University
Today’s adventures had us exploring the Tower of London and the rich history of the Kings and Queens of England. The site offers discounts for disabled patrons, and free passes for Carers, which seems quite fair because the majority of the property is difficult to navigate with mobility issues. Lots of uneven ground and areas only accessible by stairs - lots of stairs! The Crown Jewels building, however, is very easy to navigate and very worth the visit. We also discovered a Lemon Ginger Winter Warmer at nearby Paul Le Cafe - LOVE! The evening brought us to a quintessential British pub Golden Lion Pub and wicked great food at Chutney Mary with exceptional service! Have we mentioned how much we love London?! Enjoyed dinner at the iconic Russian Tea Room. Very accessible location with elevators to restrooms and easily navigation around the restaurant. It’s conveniently next door to Carnegie Hall if you’re attending something at that venue and want to limit walking. Food was good (not amazing). Worth a visit even if you choose a drink pre- or post-event!
It’s Harry Potter day in NYC! Junior’s Grill serves up some mighty fine grub with ramp access into the diner and an accessible restroom. The Lyric Theatre gets an A for accessibility! Elevators offer easy access to almost all floors, staff is super helpful and they bring snacks and drinks to your seat! Now…

Christmas in New York! It’s magical… and busy and hectic and A LOT… we explored Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall and dinner at Le Rock (which was just ok). Getting to the area was tough, cabbie got frustrated with traffic and told us to get out and walk so that was fun with mobility issues. But the venues themselves were very easy to navigate. We saw people in wheelchairs, walkers and canes all enjoying the Christmas spirit. The show was fantastic and we took a pedi cab back to our hotel - BEST TIP ever! It’s enjoyable and it gets you from point A to B easily and it was fun. It’s a little tough to step up into them but with some help, my friend Jordana Pickering and I had a magical ride through Times Square and back to our hotel. ❤️🍷🌲❤️
