By supporting these businesses and providing them with new and exciting avenues to engage the public and private groups, we aim to be an active force in keeping our communities vibrant and diverse. Last night we decked the halls with our first “Wreath Making at the Brewery” of the season, hosted at the wonderful Indeed Brewing Company! Thank you to all of the amazing individuals who joined us for some wreath making fun - y’all were a delight! Thanks to our partners at The Tipsy Steer for providing us with some tasty eats, Indeed Brewing Company for the refreshing beer and hospitable space, and to Mickman Brothers, Inc for the gorgeous noble for for our wreaths! What a great night! 🎄🍻🎅🏻

Happy Small Business Saturday! At GetKnit we believe that small businesses are the heartbeat of our communities and neighborhoods. Since our inception in 2013 we've had the privilege to support hundreds of local businesses through our wide variety of events, many of which are highlighted below. Over the past (almost) 12 years, we've helped to inject over $3.5 million into our local partners - through ticket sales alone! Weeks later and we still cannot wipe the smile off our faces after our inaugural “Trolls Among the Trees: A Whimsical Overnight Hiking Adventure in Detroit Lakes” on Oc.t 12-13! Continued thanks to the amazing group who joined us as we went on a one-of-a-kind treasure hunt to discover 5 larger than life trolls, 2 magic portals and 1 villainous Golden Rabbit! Y’all were so much fun! And thank you to our partners at The Buttered Tin, Brew Ales & Eats, Lakeside Tavern & Brewery, Zorbaz on the Lake, The Lodge on Lake Detroit, and Project 412 for all you did to make this first weekend such a wonderful success!

This last weekend was one for the memory books! We headed north to the south shore of Lake Superior for our inaugural ‘Apostle Islands Sea Kayaking & Boat Cruise Overnight Adventure’. What a weekend! From beautiful sights to delicious food, grand adventures to late night antics, tranquil moments to lots of laughs….all shared with an amazing group of individuals!
