Two weeks ago your Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber invited all of the beach mayors to a breakfast to discuss how we can work together to achieve the needs of our communities. At this meeting, two letters to the President addressing the Army Corps of Engineers Policies and FEMA Hurricane Relief were discussed and signed by all present mayors.

The Barrier Island Government Council (Big C), comprised of each beach mayor, developed the letters and got the final signatures this week. The letters have since been sent physically and digitally to the White House. The Big C and your chamber hope that these letters will expedite the dire hurricane relief and beach nourishment efforts.
