In between cold fronts in the Gulf of Mexico we can get some perfect weather that lets us head offshore to target all kinds of different species we don’t normally target the rest of the year. Goliath grouper are just one of those many species. This one lost the battle this day but don’t let this picture fool you, he won the battle the next day.

Spotted these flamingos while out fishing the other day.

We’re still catching fish after the hurricanes!

Don’t let the media and crazy people on social media tell you otherwise. It’s safe to be out there and plenty of fish in the area still!

The water is still a little tan from all the rain but most of the areas are just as clear as you’d expect any other day of the year. Lots of wildlife out there as well!

I had some guys in town for the “battle of the bay” that goes on in downtown Tampa. One of their request was to catch a shark because every time they go out and try and catch them they get skunked. Luckily for them, there’s no shortage of sharks around right now!

There’s still some good fishing going on as we start getting away from our spring patterns and slowly working into the summer patterns. Before we know it, it will be 1000° with 400% humidity and we’ll be in the full summer pattern 😂

One of those days where the fish were chewing the bottom out of the boat. Every bait that hit the water was crushed within seconds. Literally non stop action for hours and didn’t have to spot jump a single time.
