Ever wonder how the custom color gets applied for cabinets, countertops, and desks?
A common tactic is to apply adhesive to the board and laminate faces, then lay down sticks spaced across the board. Lay the laminate across the sticks and whip it into a flush position with the board. Once the sheet is in the right place remove the sticks one by one - this technique helps eliminate air bubbles and ensures a smooth, bubble-free surface. If you're really good, you can lay that laminate down flush and true in one single motion without sticks. Leaving no air bubbles or ripples.
And there you have it - a flawless laminate finish that sets the stage for the perfect cabinet!
