Our Greenland sailing expedition, Part 1. Oleg Drizen, our extraordinary Head of Operations, has just completed his breathtaking expedition on a sailing yacht to Greenland. It's time for a grand celebration! "This journey has been an absolute marvel, an awe-inspiring and mind-blowing adventure! Setting sail on our mighty "Aurora" (a 67-foot steel expedition yacht specially crafted for the Arctic and Antarctica), we embarked from the Azores Islands, traversing approximately 1600 nautical miles through relentless cyclones and anticyclones with winds of 35 knots with gusts up to 50 in the North Atlantic, all the way to Nuuk - the capital of Greenland. From there, we navigated along the western coast, reaching an astonishing latitude of 70 (beyond the Arctic Circle) until we arrived at Ilulissat. It felt like stepping onto another planet, another realm: a surreal landscape filled with hundreds of colossal white and blue icebergs, some as large as 2 to 3 kilometers in diameter - true frozen marvels, and, of course, magnificent whales! We encountered dozens of majestic fjords and glaciers, where gigantic ice chunks break off almost every hour, amidst the constant presence of the sun, shining brightly 24 hours a day. The untouched wilderness surrounded us, a 'ringing' silence, occasionally interrupted by the thunderous roar of cracking and overturning icebergs. Civilization was almost nonexistent in this wonderland... At least once in a lifetime, every true adventurer should experience this Terra Incognita - these are memories that will last a lifetime!"

A vast, central lounging space with a panoramic view opens both onto the bow terrace and cockpit. The bow benefits from a cozy lounge, well shielded from sun and wind. To the aft, the saloon merges with the spacious cockpit offering a lovely al fresco dining area. The cockpit overlooks an extra large hydraulic platform that can act as a swim-up island once the jet tender is splashed. From the aft bathing platform, you can launch water toys, try scuba diving for the first time, or sun tan all at sea level. All the areas combined form a universal, open environment where flexibility and freedom reign.
They have a built-in scuba diving compressor and an area designated for tanks and top-of-the-line gear. Two seabobs are also on offer along with a wide array of water toys and adventure sports to try.
