With great sorrow I must share some news of a long time friend and coworker, that many of you have met while experiencing Pulaski or traveling thru, spoke with on the phone, or corresponded with from our website. If you have ordered our guides and brochures, it was more than likely Mitzi that prepared your information.

Mitzi had retired January 24th after serving 11 combined years for our organization and communities. She was excited to head into her next chapter, that we all work so hard all our lives to reach. Days filled with family, pets and pet sitting, more time dedicated to her church family, community activities and volunteering.

Sadly, she became ill and passed away January 31st. A link for her services will be added in the comments, once finalized.

Mitzi was the smiling face to our visitors, helping people from all over the world. She fulfilled requests for our travel guides, worked with Centers throughout the state to send our materials and order theirs. Mitzi was a whiz at multiple facets of our database, working closely with our businesses and insuring they were highlighted in our various programs. She assisted me and managed many projects over the years. She was my second hire, as Director. So she saw our organization learn, grow, change, expand, and she worked in several roles with varying responsibilities throughout the years.

She was loyal and always spoke up to help, assist, and if she would see someone needed off, switch schedules, she always spoke up before being asked. Loyal and dependable.

As a person she had so much love for her family and her furry loves. She spoke often of her nieces, nephews and grands. Everyone’s children and pets were her heartbeat. She amazed me all the time in her ability to remember every name of every child and pet. She would only need to hear your story once and she’d remember every single name, even years later.

I was blessed to have Mitzi in my life. The Bureau and our communities…Our visitors to the Center….. She touched hundreds of thousands of lives with her beautiful smile. You will be deeply missed Mitzi. I love you.
Beth

This video was to post once she was ready to “socially” announce her retirement. And still deserves to be seen.
