Here’s what to expect when you come to Driftwood Dreams (our welcome message):

Welcome to Driftwood Dreams!

We hope your vacation here is everything you’ve dreamed of. If anything isn’t perfect, please don’t hesitate to contact Donna at Parker-Kaufman, 1-912-635-2512. She’ll make sure it’s right.

Things to know:

There are two coffee makers. The Keurig is on the countertop, but if you prefer the more traditional style, it’s in the cabinet above the stove. You can pick up coffee packs and K-cups at the Village Market.

The stove has a double oven. The front controls can be locked if you have small children.

The cold water is carbon filtered in the kitchen and both upstairs faucets, and also for the ice cube maker in the refrigerator. (There’s nothing unhealthy about Jekyll Island water, but it does taste of chlorine, so we filter it for you.) So use the cold water for cooking and drinking.

The recliners each have a USB outlet for charging your devices. We also have power outlets inside each chairside table, so you can keep all your chargers plugged in.

Cable TV is provided by the Villas by the Sea Resort. If it fails because of a storm, it should come back automatically. If it doesn’t, you can call the Villas front desk to report the problem.

The electric panel is behind the tapestry in the kitchen. Should you accidentally trip a breaker, just unplug the item that caused the problem, and flip the breaker back on.

The couch has a pullout sofabed.

Please, please don’t shower with the door open, or allow water to pool outside the shower door. If you accidentally let water pool on the bathroom floor, just please throw a towel down to soak it up. Otherwise, the water will destroy the downstairs ceiling.

There are several games in the file drawers on the upstairs landing. We’ve also left some books in the bedside shelves for rainy days.

There is no smoking allowed. No pets.

Patio chairs belong to the individual units. If you borrow from a neighboring unit, make sure it’s not occupied, and please return what you borrow.

All the luxuries. Comfy automatic recliners. Power outlets chairside (in the tables). Filtered water (Jekyll Island water tastes of chlorine, so you’ll really appreciate this detail.)

The kitchen has a new large refrigerator, new powerful dishwasher, new stove with double oven, new large microwave, and two coffeemakers, including a Keurig. All soft-close doors and drawers. Plenty of outlets. Pots and pans and cooking tools. Extra touches like plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Filtered water, so no chlorine taste!
